For goodness sake chill out 17:28 - Apr 9 with 7318 viewsrock1n

There's so much anger on this site, it's quite ridiculous at times.

In the short term we're right in the mix, when it wasn't that long ago we were doomed to relegation. People forget this, we WERE down we didn't stand even a glimmer around the turn of the year.

We've got an excellent, ambitious young manager who is still learning his craft. Rome was not built in a day.

Whatever happens if we get relegated, we need to get behind our new manager to get us back up. If we stay up, fantastic then we build for next year.

This negativity is doing nobody any good, the obsession with Huw Jenkins is classic Swansea. We love to love and love to hate, when reality is usually grey.

Stop moaning and start getting behind the team, our support is p1ss poor at the moment and it has been for a while.

Genuine fans who are lifelong fans are right to be angry.

The new guard will not be to bothered, if they can jump from being a united, chelsea, liverpool or even a spurs fan for example then swansea being relegated is not going to pull on the heart strings. If you can jump emotions from one team to another then!!!

Have to say that Watford were already on the beach at WHL yesterday, Niall Quinn mentioned as much at half time, so this could be our last chance to get the engine started! !! Now how's that for positivity 😎

I'm all for a raucous atmosphere, if you want to get angry in that way FINE.

I can't be arsed with mealy-mouthed moaning on the internet which presents itself in reactionary support which we have a grade A in.

Modern football supporters just bitch and moan they expect wonders from minute 1, if the game is not going the right way it's silence or jeering almost straight away.

I have to say I cheered and screamed my support for 90 + minutes n Wednesday and stayed to give them all a round of applause. They fully deserved it for the effort they put in.
Yesterday I watched the game from afar. Had I been there I doubt they would have raised the same reaction from me as Wednesday.
It was like two different teams.
I for one don't expect them to be at it from the first minute and fully accept that we will lose some, even with the best will in the world.
However I do expect them to put in a shift.

I, more or less had those same thoughts while watching the game in the pub. They came out at the whistle looking like they did during the last fifteen minutes of last Wednesday's game.
No energy or drive. No penetration through the midfield, but just going through the motions seemingly on automatic.
I do hope that deep down they don't believe that it's all over barr the shouting. Going to "the next level" is going to be pretty dam hard looking up from the championship.
I can't wait...yet dreading our next game.

Good post..especially regarding the Huw Jenkins bit. Yea he made some mistakes, yes he is a businessman, but he did a hell of a lot for the club too and itmakes me a bit uncomfortable to hear our fans so aggressive towards him.

Classic modern football supporter.

You wouldn't get that attitude on the Continent.

I've been a modern football supporter of Swansea City for 39 years then 👍

Edit - if this was 'the continent' Huw Jenkins would be a statistic right now for his underhand selling of the club. Nothing modern about getting your balls booted out the back of your head.

Crowds lift or should do, otherwise pointless going along.

Its last chancer saloon and both attending fans and players should be as one

Clearly ,we are not.

The team, however ,should be capable of giving the fans a lift. Ours don't

Our fans should be looking to lift the players. They don't.

Why? is a mystery. With all the shenanigans behind the scene Id have thought the fans going alone would be boiling inside and be kicking every ball instead of cowering behind the filthy debacle created by Jenkins.

It seems the whole club has unravelled in spectacular fashion arguably quicker than any other premier league club in recent memory.

Hull started the season with barely enough players to fill the bench, owners who wanted out and a hapless hopeless manager. They ve had significant injuries too.

They bring in a guy, not well known,no experience of Prem and now look at them.

if THEY STAY UP ,THEY ARE TEAM OF THE SEASON WITHOUT DOUBT

I disagree.
Since we have been in the Prem the atmosphere has been getting worse year on year IMO.

I put this down to many season tickets being sold at the outset to people who didn't really attend much pre-Prem...they bought them for themselves and their kids, many old school fans found themselves locked out of the Prem party.
These people were only here for the success and have renewed every year.
They have become bored, are going through the motions and will disappear on our relegation.

For that matter all of the old school types who got their season ticket and have renewed every year since have become bored and are going through the motions also.

We have become stale, there is no new blood coming through (other than the spoiled offspring of the middle class).
Our crowd is an old one.
All of the passion has gone.

When we go behind I like to start singing and upping the support in general, it's embarrassing when you are middle aged and singing on your own though!
