Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

But its not working because it has not produced any meaningful first team players.
And we got relegated.

Every bought in player has failed from Rory Donnelly to Grimes to Kenji. Many others.
(oli McBurnie might contribute something i guess)
The only meaningful player is local boy Roberts who is through at 21/22.

U23s at Chelsea include Loftus-Cheek and Tammy.

It needs a very different approach.
The lap of honour for the u23s was a bizarre thing to witness.

Tammy Abraham has played 20 minutes of football for Chelsea, is he a "meaningful first team player" for them? One successful Championship loan but couldn't get into a poor, relegated PL team.

Investment in the u23s squad can be considered a failure if we don't end up drawing from it next season. I'd expect to see McBurnie and Fulton at the very least, though. It should be easier to bring players through when we're playing at a lower level and don't have the finances to support a gigantic senior squad.

Ryan Hedges made 17 appearances for Barnsley in this league last season and he was never as good for us as Kenji or Dan James.

He had a choice: live and play in Swansea or live and play in Madeira.

Some typical demanding, spoilt brat answers in this thread. If players are not in and around the first team at 19/20 then fûck them off be damned. Aye, because the premier league is full of kids this age playing regularly aye.

A new Michael Owen is discovered every year 🙄🙄

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Well I would suggest that Kingsley and Fulton did not let the 1st team down any more than certain £million imports did.
But let's not let any facts get in the way of a good rant.

Well the club did not agree with you, and got shot of Kingsley.
I thought he did ok, but not really Premier League quality...?

So Fulton, who could not break into the starting line up in League 1 last season, is going to stand out this year in the Championship ? Maybe not, eh ?
Quite frankly I think he looks one paced when he has played.

The only real fact is .....that for all the money spent on our Academy in last decade, the contribution into the first team has been next to feck all.
They must do better, or get the right people in.
