Yes we can see the tankers burning with our own eyes but where it is the evidence? Trump's advisors would love to go into Iran and confront them in a full-scale military operation.

Iran was complying ok with the wests demands that it's nuclear power station developments be policed.

Then all of the sudden Trump trumps up, along with Israel out of the blue recently they are building a bomb again ... we've heard all this before, the people of Iran are being hit very badly by economic sanctions imposed by America unilaterally without any backing of the West in recent weeks.

This can't be right. At least NATO or the UN security council should have some say before any sanctions are imposed on another country.

This in itself is almost an act of aggression that could potentially lead to war.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the CIA sponsored the hit. Why not , they armed Bin Laden’s Mujihadeen, gave covert support to the rebel jihadists in Syria , faked the gulf of Tonkin incident. And more.
As with Syria the West is dying to get to war with Iran.

If America controls the Persian gulf and the straights or hormuz, it controls the supply of oil and therefore controls the price.High oil prices are good for the US, as much of the oil is bought in dollars, so they gain by selling dollars. It could backfire, because it would further Push Russia, China, Venezuela to further circumvent the petrodollar.

It's uncertain how Putin would react as they have agreements with Iran. It's a risky venture by the US as Iran won't roll over like Iraq did as they have the backing of Putin and possibly China.

Not sure Trump is the warmongering maniac he has been painted out to be since Day 1 of his Presidency. If anything, he's an isolationist.

Incorrect. For some time now the US has been pushing for greater oil production to lower the price thus reducing the revenue of Russia. It was Russia who recently got a cut in worldwide production thus higher prices and more revenue for them. The Yanks are happy selling their shale oil/gas.

Lower oil prices will hit the US revenue just as much as it will Russia. Russia and China would also like to stabilize the economy of Venezuela, who I believe also want to bypass the Petrodollar. It's all about the petrodollar system as Putin wants to destroy it and therefore replace the US as top dog

It's basically a continuation of the great game, but with the US having taken the place of the British empire

It won't hit the Yanks half as much as the Russians. I read somewhere (yesterday/this morning) that rusia's GDP is on par with Spain now. They need the cash whilst the Yanks will just print more dollars and sell debt to China.

The Russian economy collapsed after the cold war, but not because of Regean and the arms race or rubbish like that, but because of a lack of outside investment into their oil and gas industries, however that has been resolved and they are even technologically more advanced than many countries , just look at the drilling platforms they have erected in the Arctic- far in advance of anything we have.

As for the US printing more dollars, it has devalued the dollar considerably, so quantitative easing is not the answer.

You are right, Putin won't allow it to happen as they have interests in Iran. The US have tried to regime change in Syria and Venezuela recently and have failed because Russia has stepped in

In much the same way working folk are here under the aegis of ‘our democracy,’ or even more cynically, ‘our freedom.’

If you didn’t laugh you’d cry, either way what difference does it make?

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

That's a stretch. Povert ain't great antwhere but claiming the non-rich Brits are on par with non-rich Russians is risible.

Also, our democracy is looking quite ropey but it's not a overtly kleptocratic strong-man nationalist state.

As to laughing or crying...yep.
