Of course. I’ve got no doubt that there are several racially motivated incidents involving the police in the USA. But is there any evidence that this specific incident was racially motivated? It’s a fair question. I haven’t followed the story apart from seeing some horrific photos. I don’t want to watch the video..

Don't they have courts over there and jury's. Im sure that they can listen to the facts and come to a decision. As for the looting, scum have an excuse and kicked off .

Think you have to look at the bigger picture. The reason there is such an outcry about it is that it represents an institutional problem whereby in the US the police treat people of different races differently.

Completely understand that argument. America seems f*cked up in lots of different ways. But does it help race relations if media outlets report incidents like this as race hate crimes when they may just be crimes? It’s a difficult one. I don’t know the answer. I better sign off before I get accused of being studiously neutral again.
