Trump: the twilight days 20:10 - Dec 11 with 8038 viewsspudgun

Just a couple of his recent tweets:

"Now it turns out that my phone call to the President of Ukraine which many, including me, have called `perfect` was even better than that...."

And a retweet by Trump from a Fox flunkey:

"Donald Trump must get the credit for the vaccine. It is a miracle."

A miracle man who is better than perfect.

God, I`ll miss him...

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is an award bestowed by the president of the United States to recognize people who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors."

For one, Gary Player is South African and probably won the award for services rendered to his own wallet.

Agree Imp, feels a bit like a digital book burning. You need future generations to see what he said and did. Just deleting his posts will not make the problem go away. It plays into the conspiracy theory.

They are already trying to rewrite what happened on Wednesday by saying "It was a peaceful protest that got a bit rowdy" (really, who the hell takes guns, pipe bombs, plastic hand restraints, Molotov cocktails, or my personal favourite, home made napalm on a peaceful rally!), or the story being spread by some republican lawmakers, who after hiding under chairs or desks, are now floating the idea it might have been started by Antifa infiltrators, ffs.

Trump National stripped of 2022 US PGA Championship

Trump National in Bedminster has been stripped of the US PGA Championship in 2022 as its organisers felt using the course as host would be "detrimental".

The PGA of America voted to terminate the agreement on Sunday.

US President Donald Trump, who owns the course, has been accused by Democrats and some Republicans of encouraging last Wednesday's riot in Congress.

A representative for the Trump Organization said they were "incredibly disappointed" with the decision.

"It has become clear that conducting the PGA Championship at Trump Bedminster would be detrimental to the PGA of America brand and would put at risk the PGA's ability to deliver our many programmes and sustain the longevity of our mission," said PGA of America President Jim Richerson.

"It was a decision made to ensure the PGA of America and PGA professionals can continue to lead and grow our game for decades to come."

The course in New Jersey, one of 17 courses around the world owned by Trump, was due to host the major in May 2022.

Another of his properties, Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire, Scotland, has not been selected to host an Open Championship by the R&A since Trump bought the resort in 2014 - with the host venues now finalised up to 2024.

Turnberry's Ailsa course has hosted The Open on four occasions since first staging the championship in 1977, most recently when Stewart Cink won in 2009.

R&A chief executive Martin Slumbers said there were "no plans" to stage any of its championships at Turnberry and that the governing body would "not do so in the foreseeable future".

"We will not return until we are convinced that the focus will be on the championship, the players and the course itself and we do not believe that is achievable in the current circumstances," Slumbers said.

The PGA of America is now searching for a replacement host for one of the game's biggest four men's individual events.

"We have had a beautiful partnership with the PGA of America," Trump's representative added.

"This is a breach of a binding contract and they have no right to terminate the agreement."

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has shared with lawmakers plans to remove President Trump from office before starting an impeachment process, following the riots in the US Capitol building.

Money talks

Chamber of Commerce calls Trump’s conduct ‘inexcusable’ and vows to curb certain donations.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the nation’s largest business lobbying group, condemned President Trump’s conduct that led to the siege of the Capitol last week and said on Tuesday that lawmakers who backed his efforts to discredit the election would no longer receive the organization’s financial backing.

The criticism was the latest backlash against Mr. Trump and Republicans from the business community, which has been united in its opposition to an assault on the democratic process, and represented a major rift in the traditional alliance between industry and the Republican Party.

“The president’s conduct last week was absolutely unacceptable and completely inexcusable,” Thomas J. Donohue, the chief executive of the Chamber of Commerce, said. “By his words and actions, he has undermined our democratic institutions and ideals.”

The group said that it is trusting Congress, the vice president and the cabinet to act “judiciously” as it considers whether to invoke the 25th Amendment or impeachment to remove Mr. Trump from office before his term ends next week. The statement did not go as far as one released by the National Association of Manufacturers last week that explicitly called for the removal of the president from office.

The Chamber operates a powerful political action committee that supports candidates across the country. Neil Bradley, the group’s chief policy officer, said that it is evaluating how lawmakers voted last week during the electoral vote certification process and how they vote in the coming days when the House moves to impeach Mr. Trump when making decisions about donations. He said that lawmakers who did not demonstrate respect for democracy would no longer receive financial support.

The relationship between the Chamber and Mr. Trump has at times been fraught. The group opposed his protectionist trade policies and efforts to restrict immigration but supported his moves to cut taxes and roll back regulations.

In a speech on the state of American business on Tuesday, Mr. Donohue called on Mr. Biden to roll back most of those tariffs and work with Congress on immigration reform legislation.

When is the removal firm book for?

Wednesday, isn't it?

I couldn't believe it when Trump was elected. "What a joke", I thought.

He hasn't disappointed.

It says something when Ronald Reagan himself is only a very distant second in the idiot polls.

After being such a silly president of the USA, he's probably set back his political cause for a decade or so.

IMO his election was joke and a sign that the general public have had enough of the media fueled bullcrap.

Who's next??

Biden of course.

Dig dirt.

What more is there to say?
