Interesting point but I can only guess (hope) that the club would not be pushing ahead with the offer if the injury was long term ? May well play on Harry's mind but no doubt he has had the best medical advice on how this injury will affect him

It is and it is. Ateotd I wouldn't blame Harry if he left for a better offer, he has to look after his family, he has been great for us, given everything for the club, on and off the pitch, has never had a tant, so he can leave with my blessing. But I'd love him to stay and I am hoping that he and his family love the city and the area that much that this final offer will be enough to keep him, plus with the added fact that this board is prepared to back sheehan, that might be enough to sway him.

In real terms he’s out for around 5 weeks.

If he has proper legal and financial advice he would have signed it by now.

Glad that it is a relatively short term injury for him and can only wish him a speedy recovery.

This but a reminder that no player is irreplaceable and it seems the Club have now at least realised waiting until the last week of a transfer window is not the professional way of doing business.

Darling given an ultimatum plus what next ? on 13:33 - May 4 with 1583 views | RhonddaSwans | With Wrexham and Birmingham coming up. This could possibly be a Wrexham signing ✍️. Free championship experience this has been dragged out for months. I would be amazed if he did put pen to paper now . If he wanted to stay it would have be signed months ago. I hope that it might just be squeezing every single penny for him and good work from his agent. But in reality the money these guys get when leaving on a free is ridiculous. All we can do is wish Harry the best. He has been my favourite player for the last few seasons. Wind up merchant and what we really lack proper aggression. No one is bigger than the club we will find a replacement. A name we are forgetting is Low remember the Wycombe cb if they miss out on promotion. Could be a great replacement.

As you say no player is irreplaceable have always worried about some elements of Darling's game but that could be said about numerous players, team game with players who need to know what is expected of them to be successful.

Ah, well now he's had your blessing I'm sure he's happoer Great article and it makes it very clear, Harry needs to decide and commit or say goodbye and very soon. I'd like him to stay but if he decides the grass is greener elsewhere then just say go and GO. As others have said, there is much to justify staying, the wage he is on is a very, very good one in this area and the area itsellf is something other players have cited when choosing to stay. Make the best choice for you, Harry. If that means leaving then good luck to you, unless you end up playing against us.
Darling given an ultimatum plus what next ? on 17:20 - May 4 with 1240 views | heatwave | So has he got to let us know by next week otherwise the offer could/will be withdrawn? We had similar issues with Andy Robinson and Pratley as I remember. When we retracted the offer. Robbo was waiting to see if Leeds went up.

Just goes to show the risk players are taking by running their contracts down. Get a really bad injury near the end of their contract and they are knackered.

I'm not a betting man but he's gone , crepe bandage on his knee on Saturday, my mum used to use them so I could have a little sympathy and a cuddle

That’s life. Harry has had a few injuries of late, even if this is one that may well see him out for a while it could easily go on to affect his career. As you say that’s the risk.

And for me that will always follow Robbo, a dark stain on him imo.
