Points System - Work Visa for Overseas Players 11:51 - May 13 with 739 viewsMartyn

Any geniuses on here able to enlighten me on the points system for bringing in overseas players on work visa's

I'm in the USA since 97. So no idea how things work with UK/Europe post brexit, or, rest of the world when it comes to being able to get players work visa's

I know Melker Widell's 1st cap for Sweden in March made it easier but he was going to be OK anyway.

The June internationals might also help some players who are uncapped,, or, get an additional 2 caps

How does it work please?

We signed him before that cap, so possibly would have been a lower rank at that point. We are doing a report for tomorrow on all the criteria 👍 Need a contact at Wyscout to speak to first.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Excellent. Nice one Keith, looking forward to reading it.

Yeah, Melker was Ok before the cap just gave him some extra points.

Was just trying to make the point that the June International window might make some other players available if they get some caps

What I have been told is Melker is on 16 points with 15 being a pass. However, up to 14 points from 10 could get some dispensation. Casper is hardly rated.

Wasnt going to mention Casper but now that you have.

Melker had 1 1/2 years in Danish Superliga when we signed him
Casper only has 1 year in Eredevise cos Excelsior got relegated.
Casper will get more points for them finishing 2nd and getting promotion back up.
Otherwise their points total should have been similar

Melker played for Mickey mouse teams until Alborg.
Casper played all seasons in Div 1 or 2

Found a free to use GBE calculator on analyticsfc.co.uk. Doesnt have points for Melkers Sweden cap in March yet. Ran both through it. Melker 9 and Casper 10. So clearly not up to date as Melker is currently on 16

Casper's team promoted back to Eredevise so maybe after another season in that league his points will jump plus the promotion point(s) for this season.

Anyway, look forward to the article tomorrow
