Some bizarre comments after the game.
He thinks the 7 games hes been in charge have had some really good performances, hes really proud of the players, the fans should be pleased with losing 2-1 to Arsenal. Hes pleased with his performance ffs.

I haven't read his comments, but I would think from what you have said, what is he supposed to say, he just came out with the usual cliches.

He had a hard job to do, a shell shocked squad on the verge of relegation, he was never going to save us, so he just steadied the ship a little, 3 months ago we would have lost this game by 3-5 goals as was happening under Juric.

I don't celebrate failure and the late goal was an ironic parting shot that pretty much summed up the season.

But yesterday showed that we have regained some pride under Rusk and he steadied the ship and that there is the foundations of a squad that can compete in the Championship next season

The bar is set so low now, that not losing 3 or 4-0 at home is deemed success. Thank goodness we don't have to keep playing with the big boys next season!

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

The line in the sand has to be drawn somewhere and then start to move forwards, two months ago we were getting slaughtered, now we are not, that is progress, we were never going to suddenly turn into world beaters, I am a realist, I am not celebrating losing 2-1 to Arsenal, but I will take the positive points and feel we are moving forward again.

That was the feeling after the match in the pub I was in that its time to back the new manager and not keep dragging up the past

This season is gone ! Next season is unwritten !

You keep saying hes steadied the ship. 2 points from 7 games dosent suggest anything has been steadied. Over the season that would get you 10points. He had 5 games that we should of been looking to get something from. The Leicester and Everton games were the worse performances of the season. Even once we got to the 12point mark the shackles were not let off. In those games we scored 3 and conceded 12.

I don’t buy this, agreed against the big boys we’ve looked harder to beat but he set us up the same against poor teams as well with terrible results, how can you go to Leicester and set up the same as if you’re playing Man City? The bloke is an absolute Ken Barlow.
