Man Utd U18 v QPR U18 12:15 - Jul 13 with 587 viewsCheshireR

The U18s were at Manchester United's Carrington training complex yesterday for a pre - season friendly.
Unfortunately there were no teamsheets so I have no real idea as to the make up or age of our lads.
Not surprisingly the United team was by far the better side and dominated the possession throughout the 90 minutes.
Rangers did equalise to make it 1.1 following a mistake by the Utd keeper from a first half corner, but it was pretty much one way traffic as the first half continued.
4.1 down at half time and Utd brought on a brand new eleven - including Michael Carrick's son Jacey.
Rangers also made a number of substitutions at the break, much needed too as the weather was above 30 degrees.
United had the bulk of possession again and finished the half strongly, scoring more late goals to win the match 8.2.
Special mentions to Charlie Street who defended admirably and also to the young striker (whose first name was Skylar) who scored an absolute screamer from 20+ yards out in the 2nd half to make the score 5.1.

The boys had travelled up from London yesterday morning for the 13.00 kick off, so although the scoreline was disappointing the travel, heat and number of substitutes available need to be considered. As does the fact that the development team were also playing yesterday, with several of their squad out in Spain.
