Week 3 results

SUNDERLAND 3 WEST HAM UNITED 0

Sunderland made a winning start to their first Premier League campaign since 2016-17. Nobody got this spot-on, but 8 did have the outcome.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 3 BURNLEY 0
Two goals from Richarlison, including a stunning scissor kick, helped Thomas Frank win his first Premier League match in charge of Tottenham. 4 had this spot-on, and a further 19 got the outcome, with 12 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

BRISTOL CITY 0 CHARLTON ATHLETIC 0
Bristol City and Charlton played out a bore draw, in a game which saw the sides register only three shots on target between them. Nobody got this spot-on, though 3 did have the outcome. 19 predicted a win for City.

SWANSEA CITY 1 SHEFFIELD UNITED 0
Swansea picked up their first win of the Championship season as they made it two defeats from two for United who fail to have a shot on target. 3 had this spot-on, and another 5 got the outcome.

BLACKPOOL 3 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 2
Ten-man Blackpool claimed their first win of the season as they saw out victory over previously unbeaten Huddersfield. A final game this week with no 3 pointer, but 5 did have the outcome.

LEYTON ORIENT 2 STOCKPORT COUNTY 2
Leyton Orient came from two goals down to snatch a draw with a goal in the 93rd minute. Well done to Jorash63 for being the only one to have this spot-on, and a further 8 (who all had 1-1) got the outcome.

Still very early days in the new season, so it is not surprising results are proving hard to predict. On such a tough week, well done to those members who had a 3 pointer, especially Jorash63, who was the only one to get two, the Tottenham 3-0 to go with the good Orient 2-2 prediction. He also got the Swansea outcome to give him an excellent 7 points. Though he had to share the honour of being the weeks top scorer, as NME_cufc also got an excellent 7 points for being best of those who had one 3 pointer, the Swansea 1-0, and four outcomes. Only failing to get the Sunderland win to give him a full house.

In the Premier We have a new leader, as the top scoring performance from Jorash63 moved him up a couple of places to the top, Just one outcome for last weeks leader concordman, but he holds on to the other Charity Shield place. Just two outcomes for bwildered, and he also drops a place. Up three places to fourth is blueeagle after he got the Tottenham 3-0 spot-on. Two outcomes was enough for thrillseeker to move up a place to fifth. By being the only other member to have a 3 pointer in this division, with the Tottenham 3-0, Lewis_1 moved up four places, to take him off the bottom. The battle to avoid the drop could not be any closer at this early stage, as the bottom four all have 7 points. They are headed by mfb_cufc, who is ahead of unitedwhites and ghughes11 on the first to post rule. With all three ahead of RSCOSWORTH on the most 3 pointer rule.

In Division One Three outcomes was enough for BFG to remain top for the third week, but his lead was reduced to just 2 points by noah4x4, after his decent week, that included having the Swansea 1-0 spot-on. The top scoring performance from NME_cufc moved him up three places to third. Having the Tottenham 3-0 spot-on, helped to move Tropical_Us up a place to fourth. Another two outcomes for durham_exile, to give him more of them than anyone in either division, could not stop him dropping two to fifth. A good four outcomes for wessex_exile, moves him up a place into the final play-off spot, just ahead of gerry_us on the most 3 pointer rule. The final one to get a 3 pointer in this league was Madeira163, with the Swansea 1-0, and that moved him up a couple of places.

THE TABLES (18 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
