1. Ipswich is quite small, the Town itself is only 144,000 population and even when you add the surrounding areas it only adds up to around 180,000. They seem to draw a fair bit of support from areas a little further out of their urban area.
2, It was a nice compact town with a ring road, mostly older style buildings and the centre is either pedestrianised or a series of 1 way streets that make it prohibitive to drive in the centre unless you really need to.
3. It was quite sleepy at night, some really decent small pubs splattered around but not much unless you went down to the marina, which was ok.
4. The percentage of fans wearing either a replica shirt or some form of official merchandise such as training tops or T shirts, must be the highest of any game I have been too.
5. It is an awful place to get in and out of by car, it took the best part of an hour to get from the City centre car park to the A12 on the outskirts of the city, about 45 mins of that was going round the ring road
