I don’t think this is an accurate survey.
When you talk about player’s who have come through our academy. Then Shearer is one, Walcott another . Then you could go to British player’s like Bale.
The fact we signed player’s like Shilton , Keegan etc doesn’t mean we supplied England with talent.
Its the player’s who came through our youth system who show it actually works being a young player at Southampton |  | |  |

It is an accurate list of players who played for England whilst they were players at the club. The same rules apply to every team in that list. It does not include players who played for England for other clubs but not while they were a player at the club, like Alan Ball at Southampton. There is nothing unfair about it. Any team can sign a player it doesn’t mean when he plays for his country he’s representing his club.

That list is utter bollix. Read the Newcastle bit and it says they produced Alan shearer, tino and Dan burns. 3 players they paid a massive amount of money for. So hardly produced. |  |
