What a hit Luke Varney has been for Blackpool. Getting a penalty and scoring for Blackpool against Liverpool today must rank among his best experiences ever. I really do not know why Nigel Clough does not rate him and prefer to loan an untried youngster from Sunderland instead. I've heard the Rams are due for a huge cash out to Charlton if they play him again, but do not know if this is true. At least his asking price must have quadrupled now...
