Not poor taste. You do seem very bitter. One in three persons in the U.K. have cancer or have a family member affected by cancer. Did you know that? How do I know? Because I have been involved in raising £ 1000's for organisations such as Macmillan Nurses. If you are able to help email Jordan.goucher@christie.nhs.uk I am sure that he wil provide you with a bucket. And if you cannot take a little 'banter' about your beloved bURY then perhaps you shouldn't come on this board.

gigger - if you've been treated for cancer then I'm sure the value of living a life as full of positivity, love and good humour is high on your list of priorities.
Why do I comment on this? Because in a former professional capacity I've been involved in the treatment of patients with cancer, and I'm still indirectly involved. Plus I'm one of the 1 in 3 that BigKindo refers to who've had (more than one) close relative diagnosed with cancer.
One of the salient features of being in the midst of life and death issues is almost always the admittedly often black humour that surfaces - a bit like being on the front line in a war - which in fact it very much is.
In no way did BigKindo cross any line in his post, rather the opposite. He utilised the kind of humour that sometimes makes the difference in getting frail human beings through the toughest examination they'll ever have.

Okey dokey maybe I jumped in 2 footed but I will only accept a yellow card. Well done big kindo for your money raising. It just seemed you was having a cheap dig at bury with there famous buckets at the expense of illness. And yor right I think it was my own and my close friends sense of humour that got me thru it. It learnt me that I don't take everyday things to serious or moan as much as I used to because there is always someone else worse of than you. So I think for once my sense of humour deserted me yesterday and I apologise.
