Your Hull City v Southampton Match Reports

This was the moment we all lowered our expectations, another toothless display straight from the Russell Martin playbook, massively out-passing our less illustrious opponents, but without a hint of an end product. Shea Charles was probably our best player, but the bar was very low, really no one shone in what was the epitome of a lack lustre display.

Keiffer Moore was good for Wrexham and the horrible McBurnie was good for Hull today, but we ignore these transfer targets for pony-tailed prima donnas that don't break a sweat or get stuck in - we really do never seem to learn.

This is the weakest Saints team we have seen for many a long while and survival is increasingly looking like our only aim for the season. Such a hard gig being a Saints fan.

Will Still was an odd choice - the latest of many odd choices. These are early days, but it is a gamble that could spectacularly backfire.

What a sorry state of affairs we have become,a team that once would give all to wear the shirt now seems to just go through the motions to get a paycheck.Been a Saint supporter now going on 73 years and thought after last year we were going to get back on track but instead we have got worse.Feel so bad for people who travelled up to Hull they deserve so much better than this.Have no idea how they fix this dross and not sure Will Still has the answer.
This is my last report as l am getting tired of having to go over the same old crap week after week.Thank you to all who post on here and you Nick for me it’s my finial one but will still be a Saints supporter till the end COYR

I'm still clinging onto the belief that we have a decent team (although only on paper). Of course the strikeforce is an exception to that. I think I could put a better shift in than Downs.

Still needs time but I fear he may be out of his depth with our situation. The rot has well and truly set in

Only players that emerged with any credit, Charles, Fraser and Armstrong. Defence and in particular Harwood-Bellis and Roerslav were awful. Bazunu - nothing really needs to be said.

Downs and Jander are clearly not ready for the Championship yet. Really disappointed so far in contributions of Fellows and Azaz.

Whatever is being coached on the training ground clearly isn't sinking in or being ignored, yet again we are disorganized in defence and wateful in attack. Unless he can change this rapidly, Still could be done for.

Sports Republic Out, Still needs to go clearly out of his depth and is a complete fraud. Another recruiting disaster. Don’t give me all that “ he needs time to work with the players, they’re still hurting from last seasons car crash of a season “ Koeman came in and had a plan of what he wanted and achieved it, with a shell shocked and much changed squad.

For Sports Republic, there isn't a problem as the revenue for the club is hardly dented. Fan zone choca, Dell bar rammed, half time drinking is up even more. Stadium is selling out, player sales continue,so the experiment with young up and coming managers who can be dictated to will carry on.
Juric moaned about the physicality of the players and we continue to sign lightweight ones that must have a sell on figure. This is killing our chances of being competitive.
Walking away from the ground after playing the Skates, my mate said " I've watched good teams in 80's, Le Tissier in his pomp, Strachan, Cappuccino and Koeman. All good competitive teams, will I ever see that again"?
Currently,I can't help but agree with him.

Have to agree with codge that we can no longer go on with four years of disappointment at St Mary’s. We deserve better as like CODGE, I am a long suffering supporter going back to Boxing Day 1959. How long I last is in the lap of the gods or the NHS, but I long for regular good football from a team that has a chance of promotion, not the boring, frustrating football we have endured since Sports Republic took over the reigns. Just pack you bags guys and let a real investor move in. Someone who will fall in love with SFC.
