I do think the short-arsed little pr1ck Putin will demand a massive retaliatory strike on Ukraine - sadly. But hey, that's some damn fine work there Mr Zelensky nevertheless! No doubt the orange baby at the White House will blow a fuse with peace talks due to take place tomorrow. Secretly, I bet the CIA are very impressed though, as will the EU. Let's not forget last night was one of the biggest drone & missile attacks on Ukraine since the war began. You reap what you sow Putin, you pr1ck. |

that's some stuff straight out of Hollywood, wiping out long range bombers on four Russian airfields by pokey little drones hidden in the roof of trucks parked nearby! Not bad for someone who has got no cards to play - eh Donald! |

Viktor Johansson must be good. He was voted Stoke City's 'Player of the Season' this season just gone. And look at his recent few seasons form... Rotherham United Young Player of the Season: 2020–21 Rotherham United Player of the Season: 2022–23, 2023–24 Stoke City Player of the Year: 2024–25 Swedish Goalkeeper of the Year: 2024 [Post edited 1 Jun 14:50]

I was born in Malta. My dad was a submariner for 29-years and got posted there for 3-years with my mum and older brother. Despite leaving school and going straight to sea for 12-years, I never once visited Malta on any of the ships I was on! All over Europe, Africa, the USA, Caribbean, the Med, Middle East, Asia, etc etc - but never Malta! So went there on holiday a few years back just to see where I was born (Naval hospital at Mtarfa). As mentioned, well worth a week of anyone's time & money if you're looking for a really nice break. The WW2 side of things/history is right up my street of course. |

Good point re: Edwards & Charles. We need a few new quality faces, especially up front & at the back, and hopefully, finger's crossed, we "could" be in a position to have a real go at it next season. F*ck doing it via the play-offs too. Too much stress on my ticker! Automatic top 2 must be our aim under the new gaffer. |

You'll love it. Went there a few years ago. Lovely people who are always smiling & happy to help you. Lots to see and do. Malta has a big Italian influence and there are plenty of good Italian restaurants, especially in Valetta. Good seafood restaurants down by the waterside too. As you say, lots of history. You can visit the WW2 shelters that were carved out of the cliffs in Valetta which have been maintained all these years. There's a large domed cathedral worth visiting. A German bomber dropped a bomb through the dome during the war which failed to go off, rolled across the floor, and is considered a miracle! Lots more to see in Malta too. They are very proud of their wartime history & the connections with Britain. We hired a car for the week which was pretty cheap and a great way to see the whole of Malta (and they drive on the correct side of the road which makes it easy). Took it across to Gozo on the ferry which was cheap and well worth a day out. Then there's The Blue Grotto boat trip to the caves, again, well worth it. Lovely friendly people the Maltese - which always helps. |

I spent 5 days in Tromso albeit years ago now. Lovely place, especially the Fjords. Very expensive as I remember although they sell big clear bags of freshly caught prawns by the quayside which were very reasonable and real yummy if you like seafood... which I do. Beer was expensive too. |

Yeah, that's what I shall be doing this year, heading abroad for some late September sun - probably in the Med somewhere after the manic Summer rush. Plus there are some good deals to be had that time of year if you look around. |

I think, in a really good footballing and positive side like Palace, Fernandes would thrive & make a big name for himself - especially if they keep their manager. Alas, in our tippy-tappy, negative puny side, he's been stifled this season. He's got a great engine & loves to pick the ball up and run at defences... and he's still only very young. Sad to see him go. Good luck to the youngster. |

I can't see anything in Will Still's CV that would make him a good appointment for Saints - nothing. What I CAN see is Sport Republic getting it all wrong - yet again. |
