Failure to get that quality CB that we desperately needed.
Failure to get that proper goal-scoring striker that we desperately needed.
Failure to get that very decent goalkeeper (from Stoke) that we needed.
Everyone could see it, all of us - except the clowns up in the boardroom.
The icing on the cake, the sprinkles, the hundreds & thousands, was an obscure new manager running the rule over his newly inherited & assembled squad... and saying that he "Didn't want any more strikers".

If Boro win their game at home to WBA tonight, they'll be 10-points ahead of us already.
It's very early days yet, but I'd rather be in their shoes than ours.
We're all assuming/hoping that we will pick up and start playing good football, climb the table & look a class above. But in order to do that, you have to start putting those good performances in & win games regularly.
Nothing I've seen so far indicates that we are about to do that. |

His yacht, called Tirea, is currently on its way to Brač, a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea. It's due to dock at 2.00 pm.
It's worth $10M and has an annual running cost of $1M.
It's a tough one - but watch that dirge at St Mary's on a miserable Sunday lunchtime... or cruise around the beautiful Adriatic Sea in a luxury motor yacht with sunshine galore.
