This.

90 minutes into the season and I already fkin hate Birmingham! Running around kicking everyone then incredulous when called on it. Fans chucking stuff at the ref. Entitled bollocks.

Game was way too much for the ref, failure to hand out some obvious yellows was always going to lead to the late mayhem.

Thanks to Dykes for a comedy ending.

F*ck Tom Brady.

Pre-season and Perpignan – Awaydays

Oh Beans! You just get worse and worse at your job.

The arrogant condescension is reaching new levels. Thicko, naive boomers who can't think for themselves, believe everything the Daily Mail tells them all being led astray by a few lines in beautiful 3500 word piece on the joys of France in the Summer and a bit of football thrown in.

Are you serious?

I'm trying to get excited by the new signings, manager and season to come. I even posted on the Kelman thread praising the business done by your boss in comparison to previous times.

But don't you realise every time you post like this you are making it harder to like and support him? Genuinely. Now I know he thinks I'm a thick, can't think for myself sheep. Charming. How is that setting a tone to make me more supportive of him in the future? It's not is it. I am clearly not alone in this.

You are having the complete opposite effect on people that you are being paid to have.

It's madness that he keeps sending you. Please stop as I really do want to support what he is doing but every time I see your ridiculous, consistently charmless and unpleasant work it makes it much harder as you are such a terrible representative.

Dembele
at 12:38 28 Jul 2025

I think Chair never really got match fit last year; chuck in the mental aspect of Rockgate and he just wasn't on it much.

But he has been hairing around in pre season, looks in great shape and has been pressing like a madman. I think he'll be good on the press this year along with excellent defensive work rate.

Ps I really like Dembele. Got to enjoy quality on the ball where I can. Get the defensive issues though.

Kelman:Here We Go
at 11:01 28 Jul 2025

We've just sold a forward who hasn't scored single goal for us in 4 years, only had a year left on his contract and didn't want to be here for about the same amount of money that we received for Ryan Manning, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Seny Dieng, Rob Dickie and Chris Willock combined!!

I mean, come on.

Absolutely, you can't play good passing football without more risks than we usually take. Safe pass sidewards, safe pass backwards, safe pass back to Walsh, Walsh punt. Stephane sounds like he won't accept that. Marvellous.

I thought some of the decision making/risk in the 2nd half passing was really encouraging. Some very positive progressive passing, trusting players' touch, first time touches and quick decisions.

Morrison looks like he could be a very good passer from the back.

Far more encouraged than after Cardiff.

Nice to see a bit more confidence and risk in the passing post the goal.
Need to start games with more of that instead of back pass, back pass, Walsh hoof.

Lovely strike from Dembele, I appreciate his defensive work is poor but he has a bit of quality that we sorely lack/require.

Definitely best for one's mental health to not take that game too seriously. It was just a behind doors kickabout.

But...passing out from the back looked EXACTLY like it has done for the last 2 years (no observable new patterns or movement from Marti's time, desperate to go backwards, very easily pressed), defensive work rate and intensity way behind Cardiff's leading to them looking extremely comfortable on the ball, defensively outfoxed by the most basic of movement and one-two's by them.

Plenty of work to be done. Onwards.

I'm actually laughing out loud at some of our 'passing'!

It's like a 1st team V Academy game, mad that it's 2-2.

It's going to be interesting to see how much he tries to integrate a youngster or two, especially if they don't hit the ground running like Morgan did (literally).

Yeah, agreed. Nice to see him and Tuck wanting the ball in the middle, being comfortable being pressed and always looking to move it forwards. Some nice play between them. Vital if we want to be successful playing out from the back.

Kelman looks strong. Poku could do very well. Young defenders promising but not ready just yet I'd say. Illias looking pumped and ready.

I think we can safely say that, after last year's injury issues, Chair's defensive work rate and pressing will be back to its relentless best.

Yeah, their scorer was giving someone the 'shhh' finger to the lips. Couldn't see who but a few of ours weren't impressed.

Cracking captain's challenge. Toulouse had started to take the p1ss a bit with some of their challenges, especially on Dembele and kicking the ball at a prone Smyth.

Jimmy's having none of that.
