Mid week cup replay Feb 1981, afternoon off school & we got the train up then a bus to & from Lime Street.
O’Keefe I think,with the late winner, stood on the deep terrace behind the goal where up the front you were eye level with the pitch. The days when their old bill walked round with a metre long truncheon!
About a week and half later we were back up there, I think on Foley’s coach, to watch us lose at Anfield, could have been Keegan’s return as I remember large letters held up in the Kop giving him a warm welcome! |
