Based on decent supporters I would want Hull to go down ...lots of feral youngsters throwing coins and bottle tops at us last 2 games and the stewards doing nothing about it. Anyway isnt their owner a very rich man....
Opinions have changed in the last few weeks. Originally we were happy to let him see the season out and save us from relegation. But now we have moved on and we are seeing a man manager who changes tactics for each game has the full confidence of the players and now has most fans backing him for the permanent position going forward. The 2 assistants brought in are obviously doing their bit with their own experience. Last Saturday showed us that the players were fighting for everything and the numerous blocks would not have been seen under LW.
Just over 340 tickets sold for our fans but no binoculars provided. The team must be brimming with some confidence and Sunderland are definitely in the play offs so we can get a positive result up there. Heart rules head and a 2-1 win to us.
No midweek game this week so we should be fresh and raring to go. If we play to our ability and I am sure we can under AS management we will beat Derby whose away record leaves a lot to be desired. The only thing is will our missing supporters turn up to get us over the line?
There is no rugby on Saturday that should force fans to make a decision about whether or not to watch the Swans. The weather is set fair so will be pleasant in the spring sunshine. AS has got the players playing a more exciting style of football that will get bums off seats with a lot more oohs and aahs.. Perhaps kids for a quid should have been advertised for Saturday as well as the Hull game. Perhaps try a bring a friend for less....it worked many years ago
We hired an unknown in Brendan Rogers a while back who did a good job for us. Yes he had money thrown at him for players but AS has done a good job so far with players that only a few weeks ago were called league 1 drop outs at best. If LW had been in charge on Saturday we could have had a good spanking.
We have got nothing to lose at Elland Road as its a game we are expected to lose so why not be positive and try to win against all odds...we have done it before...
One of the problems last night was that our players were like schoolboys against strong thuggish grown ups who were over protected by a poor referee. And the number of times the bully boys were poleaxed on the pitch was unbelievable....play off material you are having a laugh
An excellent enjoyable win against another play off seeking team. Looking forward When we played Burnley away we defended well had a couple of half chances and lost to a very dubious last minute penalty. Leeds at home we deserved at least a draw but went a bit gung ho and again lost in the last minute. We can survive against them...
I have been a season ticket holder since the early seventies from the dark days to the glory days of recent years and back. Its in my blood. I rarely miss home or away games mainly because of the camaraderie. The football played in the last5 few years has been boring to be honest the only bonus when RM was manager was the record against CCFC. There was hope under MD for a month or so and then LW gave us the we will be a fortress ay home blah blah speech all the while playing boring possession behind the half way line football. No wonder the fan base has voted to stay away. The last 2 home games have been a breath of fresh air the fans that turned up have made some noise and the players seem to be enjoying their football again. Word of mouth and social media will get fans back again if the entertainment is there. Remember the old days when we were asked to bring a friend?
Seems only just over 100 tickets sold to away fans for this long Tuesday night trek up north. If it had been the Saturday there would have been hundreds up there with some spending the weekend in Blackpool no doubt. Still if we continue as we did on Saturday against Blackburn we can make it 2 games without defeat surely. Swans to win 2 nil.
Give AS the job for a few weeks to see if Saturday was just a one off feel good factor game. Watching that game was like a breath of fresh air and it felt like a brand new team with no shackles holding them back...even the sun was shining.
Enough is enough. Last Saturdays non match nearly completely spoilt an otherwise good day trip. LW should walk but managers always seem to be paid good money for failure. Put him on gardening leave. Put Sheean and Joe in charge and see if they can get the players to play proper football again asap
