Based on the released list, we currently have a smaller squad than we did at the end of last season, even if we were to sign 3 keepers.
I do agree with your point though, and since the players we've signed are ours and not on loan, it's an opportunity to keep the whole squad match fit. |

I can see McBride playing further forward, a mobile striker who has shown he can finish. Don't know if it's just me though. |

I don't understand his post-game responses. When he speaks generally, I like his honesty and he speaks well (I think he's got a journalism degree hasn't he, so this makes sense), so why when it comes to post match interviews does he roll out the same meaningless rubbish instead of keeping up the honesty?
I admire him admitting about it being a learning curve as it humanises him, so why not say after matches "I got it wrong" or "the better team won" instead of "they can spend more" |

I do agree with that, questions have to be asked and improvements have to be made. If they're not, he should be sacked.
However, after a successful season (where the target was to challenge for the play offs), to sack him at this point would be ludicrous.
Was it perfect? No.
Should he be free from scrutiny? No.

A lot to be proud of. Absolutely gutted and Jim's decision making cost us the game, but thought we played pretty well for 120 minutes.
At the end of the day, he's got us to the play-offs and a semi-final in his first full season not fighting fires every week and, whilst lots of lessons need to be learned, we're on track IF we can continue to improve next season.
As for the people booing after that, you can have a different opinion and be angry of course, but booing after that? Give your heads a wobble you weapons. |
