Was on the same flight as Craig Charles (of Red Dwarf fame) from Dublin to the UK. There was some minor issue on arrival, I can't remember what exactly, but he acted like he was far too important to be treated like everyone else. Just pushed in to the front of the queue at the airport without a second thought for anyone else and interrupted the member of staff who was trying to deal with another passenger. Not quite on a plane but saw the Italian rugby team waiting to board at a gate next to ours at Dublin airport. Not on a plane but was once on the ferry to Ireland from Fishguard to Rosslare and Graham Norton was also onboard. It was a really rough crossing and loads of people were seasick. Everyone was desperate to get off when we docked and I guess he hadn't enjoyed it at all because he looked like he would punch anyone who approached him. |

Congrats to AFC Totton. Won promotion to National League South via a second place finish and play-off win. The next Wrexham maybe!? Not sure how many exactly but Charlie Austin got a few goals. |

Many congratulations. Very impressive to win by such a big margin. And thanks to the outgoing previous champions for their predictions this season. Looking forward to doing it all again next season. |

Last season I parked for free in a small car park in a residential area about 15 mins walk from the ground. It's on the corner of Brasshouse Lane and Great Arthur Street, South of the ground. However, that was a midweek evening fixture last season. No idea if it will be available on a Saturday afternoon. Otherwise, as per other replies, in the roads around The Vine is a good shout. |

Does anyone know how the team travels to away games? And do they travel back the same night after the game? I assume they usually go by coach but I know the team has travelled by train to some long distance away games. However the train would usually mean not being able to get back from a midweek away game until the following day. I heard some teams in the top divisions use charter flights for long aways games. Would QPR or is that only really Premier League teams? |

I only recently learned that Dennis Law's back heel goal didn't actually relegate Man Utd. They would have gone down regardless because of results elsewhere. Interesting article on that season here for example: https://www.englishfootballleaguetables.co.uk/Blog/Blog1973-74.html It mentions Utd fans invaded the pitch and the game had to be abandoned after Law's goal but the result was subsequently allowed to stand because Man Utd were down regardless. Also mentions George Best made his final appearance for Utd in a 3-0 defeat at QPR on New Year Day, which I also didn't know! |

QPR get that Frey-Dunne feeling on Wednesday (or New Years Day instead of Wednesday) Tried to get Field in there too but not sure; Frey-Dunne Field-ing seems a bit too much |

Last season I did a 50p lucky 15 each way on Arsenal, Leicester, Portsmouth, and Stockport to be champions of their leagues. Didn't quite hit the jackpot because Arsenal were runners up but still got the place and won about £260 |

48 game season - stems from QPR usually losing their opening round cup games in both League and F.A. Cups most seasons, often to lower league teams. Connor in the box office - someone else can fill in the details on where that came from because I can't remember |

Did this too for my son a few seasons ago. He had to be a Junior R member but just emailed the club to say which away games we planned to attend that season and they emailed back and offered him Birmingham away. The cost was a full replica kit for him and match tickets for the rest of us. Birmingham provided lunch and official photos, we got to meet all the players in the dressing room before the game, he got to walk out with the players, and it was well worth it. |

Fair play to him for wanting to keep on playing. A lot of players would have just hung up their boots. Could be a great move for Totton - he's dropping down three divisions from the level he was playing and scoring at last season, and he'll know what to expect having started in non-league football. Will be interesting to see how he and Totton do this season. |

I live in Bath too. A lot of the most popular places to go have already been covered in previous replies and the good thing is it's a small city so I'd recommend you just talk a walk around the city centre and you'll see a lot of the sights, like: Roman Baths The Abbey The weir near Pulteney Bridge Pulteney Bridge (one of only 4 bridges in the world with shops on it I believe) Great Pulteney Street The Circus The Royal Crescent and Victoria Park There are loads of places to eat and drink so just depends on what you fancy. It does get busy with visitors especially in the summer so it is best to book restaurants. Never been to Edesia because I think it is fairly new. Sotto Sotto is one of the best Italian's I've been to, so should be good if you can get in. Scallop Shell is good for fish and seafood. The Mint Room is an excellent Indian but is a few minutes away from the centre. Noya's Kitchen for Vietnamese Most pubs and bars in the centre are fine but again can get very busy at the weekends. If you want to visit two of the smallest pubs in the country, go to Coeur De Lion and The Old Green Tree. |
