I was very fortunate to be in the group of about a dozen fans on Bristol station after a game when Gordon Jago walked over from the team group to tell us that the club had agreed to sell Rodney Marsh. We were all in awe. My all time favourite QPR manager. RIP for a great man. Very sad.
It was also widely rumoured at the time apparently that the bookies would turn up at the training ground on a Monday morning when Stan owed them money and the club would pay it! But what a player - such memories.......

Many of you will know I have been an R's fan from the late 60s, a regular season ticket holder for many years and a farly regular very positive poster on here, again for many years. What many of you don't know is that I also produce wonderfully relaxing instrumental music that has become very popular all around the world. Approx 12 years ago i bumped into Tommy Smith in Berko High St - an absolute Gent. Had a good 5 min chat, mostly about the Everton goal. But I was certainly star struck!
