Gillingham's away end was shocking when it was a terrace and even worse now it is a temporary stand. The town centre is f*cked and the majority of the populace are scumbags. Apologies to any Medway Rs on here who reside in the area, I of course exclude you from my sweeping generalisation statement above. The whole of Lootown should be flattened. |

When we were in the 3rd tier, trips to the old Chesterfield & Colchester grounds were pretty grim. If I recall at Chesterfield the toilets did not have a roof and to enter the loos you had to step over a gully that carried the piss out. In both the visits to these places the locals were not that pleased to see us either. |

In my case the second Battle of Ypres and the Gallipoli campaign - 1915 pretty horrific WWI misery....have not learnt much since then apart from how to kill from greater distances away |

Most of the pubs around the ground have been shut or are temporarily closed. Only The Rose of Denmark & Royal Oak are near the ground now. Do not go in The Royal Oak. Charlton Village pubs are all home fans only. My suggestion would be to head for The Pilot near the O2 and get bus down, or have a drink in Blackheath Village before the game and jump on the train for a couple of stops There are 3 decent pubs not far from the station. I will caveat though as I know the Charlton mob do sometimes meet in Blackheath before big games and I know Wrexham fans came unstuck there last year. |

The older I get the less tolerant of people I become and feel one day I will do a Michael Douglas in the film 'Falling Down' and go on a rampage. Things that currently irritate the hell out of me: -People who have bonfires on hot summer days - inconsiderate b*stards -Every box junction having cameras for collecting fines. -Foxes fornicating and shitting on my drive -TFL fare dodgers -People vaping on buses and trains -People putting feet on bus and train seats -Pigeons - flying rats -Queing in pubs - wtf -Telephone / mobile scammers - scum of the earth. Love abusing them -Flytippers - lazy, scummy people -Rude people with no manners - need a good slap - Social Media Influencers - Deliveroo etc moped drivers - ffing dodgy driving -People going to the countryside and leaving all their rubbish behind -Stephen Mulhern - love to knock him into next week -Gemma Collins - Oxygen thief Ok that was good to get off my chest. I will crack on with my afternoon now and see what else pisses me off in the remainder of the day so I can come back with parts 2, 3 , 4.... [Post edited 24 Jun 17:33]

Hope Vic gets well soon. Proper QPR institution. Always had time for a chat and a good laugh. Been in the trenches with him a few times, tough as nails. Yeovil away in the FA Cup was a good one from memory. Wishing him all the best |

Yep, the few we encountered in the Shepherd & Flock were decent folk and up for a chat. However, the collection of life's misfits in The Swan at Hammersmith on the other hand before the game were a different matter. |

I have certainly had a few cracking nights out in the East Ham WMC back in the day with all my wife's family who were all from Canning Town. Double Diamond in big 'Len Fairclough' pint pots. Been to a few others over the East End, most sadly are now gone. The most bizarre club I used to go to was the Gothic Lodge over in Balham with my friends big Irish family and it had a bar were no women or kids were aloud - rolled out there at some ungodly hours in the morning. |

That is sad news. Big part of QPR terrace history. I know he is not everyone's cup of tea, but most other London clubs and beyond know who he is. The number of times he has asked me for a quid..... Hope he pulls through and is ok |

Your travel plans remind me of a trip to the old Baseball ground back in the Trevor Francis era. My mate was late getting to St Pancras and we missed the train to Derby so ended up getting a train to Nottingham and getting a cab to Derby. As we got to the ground we were jumped by a few Derby looking for stragglers and after a bit of non-Queensbury rules street fighting managed to get to the turnstiles after kick off and as we got through Clever Trevor stuck the ball in the net. Heard the roar but did not see the goal. The rest of the game was pony. 1 - nil away win, but still a good day out. |
