Nick, so you're saying Still didn't have the personnel to play a back 3, or back 4, and that to play a back 3 you need communication and organisation. Remind me what qualities Jack Stephens got his 3 year extension for? It was supposed to be communication and organisation, this is why he's captain.
The issue we now have is that if we play a back 4, one of the centre backs is still going to be Stephens, so still no organisation or communication.
We needed to sign a Ben Mee or Lindleoff to organise us and for someone vocal to take the armbands, but we still lack that player.
My only hope for Saints is that we can play Keegan ball and score more than we let in, and we're still likely to let them in. |

Still a bunch of liabilities at the back. After looking calmer v Norwich we once again play Stephens and it all goes to waste. Noone communicates on our back line, we need someone who does/can, and the give them the arm band. |

Bazunu is great with his feet bat he does not anticipate shots so he's beaten when he has to move.
The you have Jack Stephens who was extended for his organisation and communication skills, but who is silent as captain and couldn't organise the proverbial Brewery drinks. More communication in that second half than in the 3 games Stephens has played in. Downes look like the captain Stephens cannot be. |

Hit the nail on the head. You should always start from a solid defence but we do not have that.
Jack Stephens was given an extension because of his leadership qualities but after being ever present it shows he has none.
The last time we were in the Championship our best defensive record was without Stephens available.
While I accept our strikers are failing, even the best teams can't consistently score their way out of being behind because we can't organise our defence. Look at Wrexham this is why they brought in Conor Coady.
Ben Mee, Craig Dawson, Daniel Smarty are out of contract,get one of them. All leaders, although older can organise and that's what we need.
Add a striker to that and we have a good foundation. |

Jack Stephens was given a 3 year contract based on the fact he was a leader,van experienced head, he was made captain because of his presence and man management skills. Yet I've never seen as disorganised bunch as we have been.
Connor Cody showed what a leader van do, but sorry Stephens is NOT a leader and concentrate on him. With a rusty THB and a novice Quashie this showed through. We need to sign a leader, and drop Stephens. He's a good squad player but not a captain. |

Mumps. £120m ?? No chance. Noone is paying £50m for either of them but Wet Spam and Everton have said that. Aribo is probably worth £10m tops, Edozie £6m and Small bone £6m. So you're talking £100m tops even if we do sell them all.

Thats Quite a list. Was hoping Jack Stephens would not appear on there, pretty disappointed that he does. Squad should easily be cut to say 25 even with comings and goings. In my opinion Bazunu, Manning, Fraser (who seems to be out in the cold), Diaz, Taylor, and ABK (who is not wanted) could leave the squad without any impact.
