Whatever the ratio of head rippers to head rippees,.Ainsworth and Dobbo never seemed to play in a way that suited the squad, or that they looked to be enjoying or engaged with in any way. That seemed to be the biggest problem as I remember it.
And I know we can say "but that's their fcuking job and they're paid handsomely for it" but it never works out that way does it.
Never doubted their desperation to succeed but it was wrong from the start and just got wronger. |

Article says he supports it I think. Ratcliffe and Burnham will have had a few meetings I'm sure, plotted about how they can leverage this to finally give Manchester its rightful place, done a bit of brainstorming about the best location for their statues. |

I did it for three summers in the early 90s - clearing my overdraft as a filthy student.
I can't say exactly why, but it's stayed with me ever since as one of the jobs I was proudest to have done. I found out in the last couple of years that I had at least one postman in my family tree, so maybe that's it, who knows.
Judging by the price of a first class stamp these days I'm guessing the service as we know it is on its last legs sadly. |

I'm ashamed to admit I've just moved south of the river, but do have two Youngs pubs very close. I usually find their Special is pretty solid. Sort of halfway between Pride and ESB in strength and quality. |

Trump and Zelensky were always going to have a problem, but Vance seemed to me the one who ultimately blew it up.
Lecturing Zelensky about diplomacy when one of them has spent the last 3 years at war and the other, who's never set foot in the country he's so clear eyed about, has been focused on his career.
And to then start ranting on about thankfulness. He could have kept his comments low key and made a dignified statement about Zelensky's tone afterwards.
Would have been a lot less incendiary, but he's too busy wanting to rim his boss to bother thinking about the geopolitical consequences. |
