Rotherham United manager Steve Evans told BBC Radio Sheffield: "The referee was totally obnoxious, rude and embarrassing and we'll speak to the Football Association on Monday. Sorry just read it somewhere lower down now. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

I wonder if any of the foul mouthed numpties will take any notice of Roy. They should, but then again Roy doesn't realise that is every day language to some of the "faithful" in the Sandy Lane end. As for the players, it will be another season of cheating, gamesmanship and deceit in the Premier League. A fine example to the world of sport after the breath of fresh air that was the Olympics. |

I wonder if they sung it at Old Trafford today. If anyone did I expect they got a slap. Great result. Well done Matty E again. I hope people start to have more confidence in him now. |

"As a jesture I can confirm that the players, staff and myself will be paying the cost of our supporters' travel and match admission - this is the least we can do. I proposed this option to the lads at our meeting this morning and, credit to them, everyone in that room agreed we should pay. ''I am the manager of the team so the ultimate responsibility rests with myself. We have a number of young players here and good experienced guys. I still believe in them totally. The players, my staff, myself and indeed the whole club are hurting badly this morning but it is now about how we respond that counts." I wonder if they are going to pay the admission costs for the crowd this time! Couldn't happen to a nicer fella, his team are obviously showing the class of their classless manager. |

Everything is in place it is just a matter of timing. It was inevitable Hill would go at some point, so the Plan B or Plan C will come into action. Every base has been covered and Mr Dunphy knows exactly who and what is going to happen next. If this is not the case then he shouldn't be in charge of a football club. I hope a gentlemans agreement has also been shook on regarding Hill not coming back to fleece the club of its better playing assets. This is also a definate must. I can only see the club promoting from within, because the whole Team Rochdale has been together for a while and only the people who work within the team know the recipe for success. If we appoint from outside the club then I am afraid it will be back to the dark old days. We have the basis of everything that is good in football, a template to work from. If that is deviated from, then all the good work put in over the last 4 and a half years will go to waste. I just hope Barnsley are looking for a media officer too. |

Not the way England play it anyhow. I wouldn´t be suprised to hear a Sri Lankan quoting the Norwegian commentator from all those years ago ... " ... Maggie Thatcher, your boys took one hell of a beating!" 179 for 0 33 overs 51 off 17 @ 3 an over, should be a doddle. |
| Forum Thread | First half failure .. at 00:31 22 Mar 2011
In only one of the last 10 matches have we scored in the first half. We have only scored 3 or 4 in the first ¼ of the game all season. Time to go all out "no fear" now that we are safe from the drop. 33 points puts us on 84 which would bring in a nice amount of cash too, irrespective of where those points will take us. Watching Posh tonight (even though they failed to score, more down to them failing for only the 4th time all season and their first in 23 games.) they looked like they would score every time the went forward. Why? Freedom to play the way they want. Defensewise yes you need a system, but when attcking, don´t take away the element of suprise by telling the forwards what to do, let them express themselves between each other, by communicating, verbally, loudly ... why not? Does it REALLLLY matter if the other side hears? NOOOOOoooo does it ´eckerslike. Strike fear into the opposition by being loud and in their faces euhhh! Come on Dale, we can do it, we had the technology, but now we have leftovers fuelling the Team Rochdale engine, unable to discover new elements and incentives to the poor general public who are the forgotten heroes of the British Economic Disater (BED) and cannot afford the ridiculous entrance fee in these times of trouble. "Hmmm, Maybe we could help them out by giving a generous discount, after all a tenner from them is better than nothing at all". "Sounds good yes, but errrrr that will be hard work, no doubt about that, soo ... I can´t be arsed". |
