Great finish by Dave all that's proved is that Wiegman has been poor with the substitutions, never mind were back in it and the momentum should hopefully be with England.... |

Absolutely amazed with the reluctance by Wiegman to make earlier substitutions.... [Post edited 22 Jul 21:36]

Your probably thinking of Steve Black who was brought in whilst Redknapp was Manager, he very sadly passed away at the age of 64 in 2022...... If it was the Hughes era then NLondonhoops suggestion is probably spot on. [Post edited 20 Jul 20:34]

Again it's all guesswork, very few facts available, maybe Marti was leaving but why did he say he wanted to stay, we will never know. As you can guess I'm in the camp of not being happy with the way it was handled but it's done now, we move on and support the next man. |

That was brilliant, he could be our best signing of the Summer, not sure how we got him but credit where it's due so we'll done CN. Lots of great banter but being old school I found the line to Tuck a classic... "Did that get in your boat, love it mate, you need a few scars" As others have said the media team doing a very good job [Post edited 17 Jul 8:20]

Very true it's anonymous so Lassel could well have been feeding us a line as to where he got his information, the story about his wife working in a senior position at Hammarby seemed very plausible, I would be interested to know Clive's take on his input. Martis employment history certainly shows he never stayed anywhere too long but he did walk round the ground before he left and when asked was he staying he replied I hope so, again something reported on here but it shows he did want to stay but was being pushed out of the club by Nourry. Anyway whatever we believe we have a new Manager to support now, he's got a tough job again and needs that support. |

Take your point bad choice of word, using the Redknapp example is check mate. Still think Marty had to sell himself to Leicester and tell them exactly what happened from his perspective, they then decided to offer him the job, we can all decide for ourselves if that means anything..... |

We dont know the facts but we are led to believe that Nourry wanted to sack Marty last October and that Ruben stepped in to stop it happening, results picked up and we all thought things were ok. That obviously wasn't the case and Marty was on borrowed time, somebody posted that Nourry wanted him out at the end of the season, IF Marty knew that then obviously he would have his agent putting feelers out to other clubs. The gardening leave was a total fiasco and has cost the club money, finally Marty had the opportunity to speak to other clubs. I'm guessing like everybody else but I'm sure Leicester would have wanted to know all the details from Marty's perspective before they went away and considered his job application, my guess is they did not find him duplicitous otherwise there wouldn't have been a job offer. |
 | Forum Reply | Marti to Leicester…maybe at 09:17 16 Jul 2025
Agreed we have been told the relationship with Nourry was toxic, they obviously disagreed on a number of issues, therefore Marti knew that his future was going to have to be with another club. Nourry is Lee Hoos man so had his full backing, it sounds as if Ruben overruled them once in October to save his job but that wasn't happening twice. I always thought once Marti had an opportunity to get an interview he could tell the new employer his side of the story, they would obviously want to know what exactly happened, so I'm guessing the Leicester owners don't see him as a disruptive influence and that it wasn't all his fault which some people seem to want to take pleasure in suggesting. |

Jeez that's not the point, the injury condition Steve has is not good have a read on the Internet, it's supposed to have complete rest for months. No we are not going to remove the captaincy from Jimmy if he gets injured, they are planning ahead for the season and quite possibly making a very sensible decision which may well have been Steve Cooks idea in the first place. |
 | Forum Reply | Dunne new captain at 13:58 14 Jul 2025
Its all guesswork nobody knows, we do know that Jimmy is good friends with Steve and that he gave him his support at the team meeting when it was announced. I go back to my previous post because I think this is more to do with his injury and Steve knows he could be unavailable quite a lot, who knows it may well have been Steve's idea to give Jimmy the captaincy. |

Surely the issue with Steve Cook is the plantar fascitis condition that he has developed which will presumably mean if he's going to play we will have to very carefully manage his workload in training and he can't be expected to be available for all the games so again we have to manage which games he is available for selection. Hopefully with sensible management we will get a decent number of games with Cook in the team, fingers crossed because he is still an important player for our defence. [Post edited 14 Jul 13:52]

Surely more proof of the Paladini effect in action, he's totally lost the plot. |

Dixon Bonner missing but according to reports the club are looking to find him a new home so won't be on the list very long. |

As somebody else pointed out a couple of times there has definitely been a Paladini effect on the forum, cheerleaders appearing from nowhere. So much hearsay that you don't know what to believe, a number of people have said that Martis relationship with Nourry was toxic and that he wanted to fire him in October but was stopped by Ruben. Then after that Marti was just on borrowed time knowing he was going at the end of the season, if that's true it wasn't a crime for his agent to be sounding out West Brom if that's true. I'm hoping that the news that Marti has got the Leicester job is true, he's a good Manager and sticking him on gardening leave was a big mistake, as for Simon Jordan he can voice his opinion as he always does but I'm quite sure he also doesn't know all the facts. |

My first manager was Alec Stock who gave us the famous team that won the old third division and that superb League cup win, you know guys the days when it was possible for a team from the lower leagues to dream big and actually win a cup, now dominated by the money boys in the Premiership. Stock left in 68 and we were drifting a bit until Jago turned up in 71 and what a breath of fresh air, the man transformed the team, we played some great football and he got us promoted to the old First Division. He was another manager who people said was ahead of his time, a great coach who read the game and built a fantastic relationship with the fans. RIP Gordon thanks for the memories...... |

Nope Android operating system, choosing that option via the sync.ecal.com off the Official site and it keeps connecting to the tablet, which I didn't have last year so the calendar on my phone updated, having a look at the settings on my phone before I give up..... |
