Just a pity our first match is away , nothing like walking up the steps on a beautiful summer's day with hope and expectations high .

So you're happy that our plastic rubbish for example ends up in landfill in lands far far away after travelling thousands of miles by ship , a ship which gobbles up thousands of gallons of fossil fuel , yeah 👍

A point I made a few posts back ,lots of areas of Swansea are not suitable for wheelie bins unless of course were expected to lose the frontage and just have rows of large plastic containers,or steps leading to the property.

Police State ?
at 19:02 29 Jun 2025

You seem suprised, when you consider people are being arrested for making comments on Facebook so the thought of journalists who have the potential to reach a bigger audience with opinions which perhaps do not align with the authorities.Facial recognition, social media monitoring+ CCTV of course it would be very easy for us to become if not already a police state.

During COVID and when we were "allowed " some days of normality the council opened up the bays behind the baling plant (used to be a car scrap yard years back) in which you dump your rubbish, still sectioned off into various materials but what a joy , drive in ,off load and a way to go.Not sure why they stopped it but still it they did ,now as already posted a 2 page online form to fill in.

I 've sometimes bypassed that by turning up and say I'm going into the "shop" drive in there have quick scan then drive out getting rid of my rubbish the same time.

Believe it or not but during the height of the "troubles" when on guard duty back here in the UK as part of our duties we had to patrol the camp in which there was the armoury and separately an ammunition store, all we had to arm ourselves was an issued pick axe handle , finest chicory of course but the we never were sure what we were supposed to do in the event of intruders breaking in.

"I think our public services are in a shocking state and we all need to pay more to get them up to scratch. Everyone should pay more or expect less."
How much will ever be enough ,maybe if those who control how our money is spent were made more accountable then perhaps public services would be in less of a mess you say they are, ever since I can remember there's never ever been enough ,police, teachers, social workers. The UK tax burden has increased to the highest level since 1948. In the past three decades, the burden has risen from 28% to 37% of GDP and will continue to rise with the typical household expected to pay an extra £650 a year from April so why do you believe the increase taxes on an already over burdened taxpayer will improve what we already pay heavily for.

I can concur , we've spent about of time on the Costa del Sol and you're right , it seems that anything goes when it comes to rubbish ,beds mattresses along with black bags are put in and by the morning the bins are empty , considering the increase in visitors it always amazes me the effort the local councils put in to keep areas tidy .

The other issue which may add to the concern is how well the treatment /recovery will be for any player who needs off field treatment ,I don't know whether its not been an issue in the past but if the intention to change the method of how the players are asked to play then maybe .Ginnelly for example has been out for quite a significant time , would there be anything the physio team need to improve on when treating players .

Its German Shepard's not Alsatians but the outcome would be the same .My mate an ex RAF dog handler and based at Brize Norton couldn't believe how they manged to get onto the base with electric bike/scooters. But then you know standards have fallen in the military when you see personnel on parade wearing fogging beards, what ever next rainbow ribbons attached to their weapons..
If this threat continues then in my mind its an act of treason and with it the punishments should reflect that, maybe that'll focus the minds who think its ok to weaken an already weak military establishment.
