Seems like pretty sound business to me. If you'd said last year we would sell him for 1 million this summer, I think we would have laughed..
If he stayed, we would have to offer him a new better contract - bigger wages and 3/4 years, which if he then reverts to not scoring goals would be a problem.
This way, the only negative would be if he really has become a goal machine, in which case, he will get snapped up by a bigger fish, and we get another chunk..
if Burrell now gets similar or more goals than Kelman this season, it will have to be seen as great business. |

I keep seeing everyone saying Vale is a Left Back, but the interview I read last week with him, he talks about himself as an attacking number 10 type, and never mentions full back or defending... I am curious to see this guy play as he is a complete unknown, even his position is shrouded in a Vale...
As for Larkeche, a 2 year contract makes sense, if they see something in him, otherwise he might come back into the squad, be decent and prove himself in the championship and then leave for free - always a point where you have to take a gamble.. and I imagine he is not a big earner [Post edited 1 Jul 14:29]

Oh My Guava, that is terrible... I despise those centered badges. If the shirt manufacturer really wants to do it, then they should demote the manufcturer brand name/logo to the sleeve or something...

I see in Brazil (both national kit and Corinthians kits), Nike are going back down the dreaded club crest in the middle road again, an experiment I think was done in the early 90s maybe that I hated and guessed it had been decided to never do it again... God forbid QPR try it |

As well as Smyth has been playing, it is quite nice to have him on the bench to use his pace towards the end, if needed, and at the same time giving the boy a bit of a rest..

I thought Chair was really influential today, just such a shame he couldn't finish one of those chances... would have done him the world of good.. but still a good performance from him.
The new Korean lad was quiet, and though Smith was doing well down that flank, but worked out in the end. Good 3 pts against somewhat of a bogey team at home as well. |
