Was born in Clapton so midway between Arse and Orient…
Then moved to Thamesmead, close to both Charlton and West Ham…my Dad took me to see West Ham first of all although he was Rangers…prob due to proximity.

Strong memories of listening to the radiogram with him when we got beat at Norwich in 1976…guess that was it then, second game season after vs Liverpool, was hooked! Also helped by seeing Ronnie Corbett peering over the steering wheel of his sky blue Rolls Royce outside White City station!!
