Very well put. I can't understand people that have such a hard 'on for politics and back "their party" no matter what, whilst frothing at the mouth with everything to other lot do. People are kidding themselves if they think someone goes into politics for the greater good; it might start out that way for some, but once they realise the doors it opens and the money they can make on side hustles, human nature takes over and they self serve. I would suspect there's very few MPs who aren't very wealthy and they haven't got that from their £100k salary. |

A bit like the singing of "we're coming for you" when we've just been relegated ffs. Tinpot as you like. [Post edited 3 Sep 10:03]

Yep, but everyone's an expert with hindsight. |

Judging by a hefty percentage of the threads on here, it's about moaning like a little bitch and criticising absolutely everything. Must be enjoyable. |

Most clubs would struggle to hold onto £40m players in the Championship, so selling TD and MF was inevitable. Re-investing isn't as straight forward as people make out, but I'm really pleased we're finally going for championship proven players as this is the most sensible thing to do to achieve promotion imo. If you think we should or could be buying Premier ready players now, you're dreaming. I think too many people have lost sight of what supporting a club is about. Moaning and sneering about everything constantly is a cop out as is writing off players who are new to the league after 1 appearance.. Get behind them and try being positive for a change ffs. |

Surely even the most ardent Northam Wall lovers can’t think potentially having 2000 empty seats that could have gone to home fans a worthwhile sacrifice? |

GK, CB, CAM, RW, LW & CF, yes? |

They also both had 2 of the weakest and most beatable teams at home. |

It is quite amusing reading through the matchday thread of those that didn’t/don’t go to the games. |

I thought it was very refreshing the way WS slung on all those attacking players against Wrexham. Too many managers over-complicate the game and are too rigid with their "playbook", so it was good to have someone go fvck this, it's not working, let's try this. I was pretty positive about the season anyway (what's the point otherwise ffs) and agree we'll be right up there. Key game in lots of ways on Sunday. |
 | Forum Reply | Saints allegedly put Smallbone on sale for £8m at 08:57 14 Aug 2025
At the end of Smallbone's successful loan to Stoke 3 seasons ago, there was a lot of talk about him leaving us permanently; we had just got relegated and he only had a year left on his contract. Loads on here were in uproar saying he's exactly the type of player we need in the Championship, we shouldn't be selling someone with proven quality, he's one of our own blah blah blah. In the end he stayed an was given a new contact and everyone was happy. He ended up being a useful squad player for us and contributed to getting us promoted, including scoring the all important first goal in the play off semi. Back in the Prem last season he of course struggled, like many of the other Championship standard players we have in our squad did, but why hate on him so much? It just shows how many clueless drippy fans we have that moan for the sake of it. [Post edited 14 Aug 8:58]

We got home at 11.45pm. A34 diversion was pretty straight forward and only added an extra 10 minutes or so to the journey. Sat Nav's are proper crap...I always use Google Maps to check routes now as far more accurate and reliable. |

I'm sorry pal, but you don't know what you're going on about. That link is from the 2004 game at theirs I mentioned originally when they smashed up their own city. We were all locked in the ground for a good hour and a half afterwards whilst that was going on, so no Saints fans were involved. Got any other examples you can Google? I'm pretty sure only the 2011/2012 season was a bubble between us so you should have plenty of fixtures to choose from... |
