The addition of just 4 first team players to the spine of that team in the second half would have seen us through to the next round. Surely we could have managed that, despite our now familiar abysmal injury list. The removal of Burrell alone, left us completely toothless and without any outlet up front.
A mistake to leave such an inexperienced young side like that to fend for themselves. A few of them look absolutely miles away from being ready and contributed next to nothing and got toasted. Some actually looked quite demoralised by it all.
Sorry, but that was the wrong call and we are out of a cup competition we should still be in.

Not sure how Harry can blame fatigue, seven of this team have been sat on their arses for most of the season. One team wanted it more than the other....all too familiar and unless we show up at Burnley, we are in for an embarrassing spanking. Shocking but not remotely surprising. |

I thought O'Neill had an assured display in a tight and tense game. Made very few poor decisions and retained possession well. Traore on the other hand can't find a pass to save his life......seriously flatters to deceive. Benayoun would be better option for me. Still fancy us for Monday.....cum on boys. |
