I get what he is saying. The team havent put in a decent performance yet. Everyone keeps saying what a strong squad we have for this level, yet they have shown nothing. Had we lost like we should of to Wrexham , I could imagine the support getting restless. Lose at home to the skates and he will b up against it. [Post edited 12 Sep 21:46]

You literally have no idea if we have spent money well.
Saints havent put in a decent performance yet this season, the defence is leaky and the forward line is blunt. Other than that we are in great shape.
Im expecting a draw. They will defend for their lives and we never do well against those types of teams |

You are literally comparing apples and pears.
Lawrie was a manger and ran the club. He would go and watch potential signings and have the final say. Will Still is a coach and has players dumped on him. Back in Lawries day, he would sign 3 or 4 players a season. Quite often seasoned pro’s. Now days we sign 15 /20 players each season , made up mostly of ones for the future. So far under SR we have signed nearly 50 ones for the future. |

You always say these flippant comments - SR have stabilised the club or we are now moving forward. Last summer you gushed about the players we signed who and in the main they were not good enough.
The truth is no one knows how the new players from abroad will settle in or we have moved forward. To me this summer looks like another scatter gun approach. We signed 12 players and didnt address the same old problems. |

I see Dom Ballard scored today to get off and running. Will be interesting to see how he gets on.
If the Turkish league is so bad, it makes you wonder why SR have a team in that league . They don’t seem to provide us with any talent |

Watched the program and they were trying to spin it as a scandal on par with the Post office one. Its a tough one to sell tbh. Its hard to feel sorry for some blokes who kicked a ball and earned millions over a 15 year career then retire. |

Fernandez and Lavia aside what other success has the clubs recruitment department had? They are lucky in that they had Tino, JWP, Tella and Dibbling to sell to prop them up.
How is the club stabilising ? Its lost is main income and had 3 years of clearing the decks of dead wood, only to fill it with even more rubbish. |

This is team SR inherited in 2021 /22. Lets be honest it wasnt great. However I dont think 1 of the current starting 11 would get in that team.

Edozie hasnt been replaced as he wasnt part of the squad in the first place.
As for replacing Aribo, Bree and the Sugawara - who knows if we have strengthened with their replacement's. They would have all done a decent job in the championship. Feels like a wage trimming/ deck chair shifting operation. |
