Good informative post as usual but the last line is my question if you or someone has the answer .
Is Smyth simply being pushed down the pecking order or injured or something else going on.
Not the best player at QPR but he gives his all and counter attacks with pace helps to get us up the field etc and apart from his crossing and shooting valuable to us IMO.
Is JS waiting to spring Smyth next Saturday with Celear and Frey maybe or is he going to be a bench warmer this year |

Shame thats one tradition I was hoping would survive its been such a staple of games since the begining .
Just like the concert tickets a bar on your phone now compared to those beautiful tickets you recieved from the postman and had to guard with your life for months until the date rolled around .
Those ticket stubs from the 60s and 70s are getting huge prices I read somewhere now such is the demand for nostalgic good old days.I have none of those of course  |

I thought Begovic threw in the towel to focus on his goalkeeping school after his one season as back up .
Marti will be bringing a serious team remember their last visit when we had Ainsworth the predictions were a savage beating but we kept it close hopefully go one better this time |

I am the exact opposite TheChef love the collars as the V neck never fits well on me plus the new athletic taylor fit is not great either  .
I would go a step further and like 3 buttons in the collar because I need that fit to look half decent and cannot go around with the top buttom closed if there is only 2 .
I love the green and white 3rd kit but have the Brooks one in the closet.
Unrelated but I wore my 85 Guinness shirt to the Hozier concert last week but nobody shouted Urssssssss sadly |

Thats the problem in a nutshell the fans who have carried the club on their shoulders/wallets are now being priced out by the club they have supported all their lives.
Its not just Brentford of course probably across the globe but highlighted in England more I think.
Maybe clubs like QPR and others can take advantage of this price gouging to attract frustrated fans or at least the casual ones to come and enjoy live football at prices that are affordable with enough money left for rent ,food etc . |

The GAA decided to switch up the hurling and football finals back to July ( incredibly stupid and greedy IMO ) to get more games (round robin league format ) and really cash in.
This frees up the players to play with their local parish teams for their county championship during late summer and finish before the winter slog hit and games were played in horrible conditions.
Also player welfare was supposed to be an issue but with more games in Spring/early Summer not sure that is working out.
There is rumours the new GAA President is keen on moving the finals back to September lets hope that passes .

Something tells me Chair is going to have a great season for us he looks up for it after those few pre season games.
Not just the injuries last year but he had that serious legal issue hanging over his head and that must have effected his confidence and energy/attitude.
If we can ger our strikers scoring it will take defenders away from Chair and he could really hit the ground running with lots of long range goals hopefully |

2 words that is pure joy to QPR fans ears typed by Greg ( thanks for that magnificent upload) are poacher and rapid .
We have wasted so many chances over the last 2 years by strikers not being in the right place at the right time (poacher ) and snatching at chances (Field) rather than being already in position to simply slide the ball into the net .This alone can win us multiple games or at least finally claw back some draws from losing positions .
Rapid opens so many more doors for us causing pure panic amoung defenders so look for more penalties for QPR and many more bookings/red cards for opposition defenders trying to catch up.
Great way to start a sunday thanks to everybody involved |

Not trying to hi jack this thread or the Sex Pistols one but I saw Hozier and his stunning band on Friday night and it was incredible .
I only know 7 or 8 songs out of his 22 song set but the sound,lighting, video production and most important his voice and interaction with an adoring crowd made it one of those nights that I wont forget for a long time.
Not sure if he hit Europe before America but if he comes back over to England/ Ireland try for tickets it was one of the top concerts ever for me |

Surprising a few signs like "men working " have survived the ax so far and of course the untouchable man hole cover in the roads/ sidewalks .
Sadly Mother has not survived its birthing person now which is a pretty big insult to mothers everywhere IMO.
Instead of ball boy or ball girl why not use ball kids it would cover it ok |

Its started already in US Stadiums Boston I could not buy water in Lambeau Field without my card and Wrigley Field would not take cash either just plastic.
Ironically they still take $50 and $100 bills at most places but scrunitize them of course but a cashier told me they are told to watch out for counterfit smaller bills now.
Much easier to make and slip through the system it sounds like scumbags ruin it for everybody |

Incredible that he got back on stage was able to thank everybody and go out in a blaze of glory basically what an end to a life well (or too well ) lived he did it all.
Had to laugh at the tribute from Rod Stewart who said " sleep well I will see you up there later rather than sooner "

No cold showers for me too worried about the heart giving out even if its turned slowly from hot to cold .
I do admire people who jump from freezing pools into hot tubs and back again which apparently is very healthy for body and mind |

Yes that goal for Cork after the 2 extra minutes were up before halftime should have been a death blow to Tipp but fair play to them they responded magnificently .
Cork hit the woodwork 3 times but overall were miles off their best and once the red card and penalty goal it was done .
Poor enough game IMO lots of reckless shooting causing huge wide totals but Tipp really answered the bell in the second half .Congrats a massive turn around in 12 months |

What about the cockless 4s in womens rowing who gets to investigate that to see if its legit  .
I think the conversation about womens/girls football depends on posters having daughters or granddaughters playing and having to sit through countless tournaments from the time they joined up until they finsh school.
The standard varies so much its stunning but it becomes something bigger meeting the same families and watching the girls develop their skills and team spirit makes it so enjoyable .Of course the liquor devoured in the Motel 6 lobby really helps too . |

Good man bosh fair play for the upload.
Horrible pitch and pretty much agree on the kit not looking great to be honest I would be really frightened to see it on me or other non athletes .
Dirty enough game from those highlights and nice to see Smyth get up fighting and Sam not letting it go either .
Poor penalty from Celar a more solid hand and it was saved but it meant a lot to him .
Still a big improvement in 6 days it looks like |
