| Forum Thread | Team for Sunderland and scoreline predictions? at 09:49 6 Feb 2015
Who do you want to start and what do you think the score will be? Here's the line up I'd like to see: Fabianski Naughton Fernandez Williams Taylor Ki Cork Dyer Shelvey Montero Gomis Other than Routledge, do we know the status of any other injuries to players? Is Barrow okay after last week? I'm thinking 2-0 or 2-1! |
| Forum Thread | A positive outlook at 08:26 4 Feb 2015
I just wanted to say that I feel very happy with Swansea over the past few months and I am very proud to support them. There has been a lot of squabbles for quite some time on this forum with many expressing their unhappiness. Some points have been justified and well debated whilst others have been unfathomable, petty and are often posted maliciously. Some high profile users have left or been banned from the forum and it is quite sad given we all share a mutual interest in football and Swansea City. We may have been knocked out of the cup competitions and haven't been on the best of runs recently (excluding Southampton), but I am happy with our squad and look forward to every single game, no matter the opponent! We have not been outside the top 10 so far this season and I for one, would think that finishing the season in the top half is a great achievement from which we can improve on. Let's not forget we have a manager who is vastly inexperienced compared to some of his counterparts, yet we are still on course to finish well and we should do everything we can to support him and put our faith in the club. Up the Swans! |
| Forum Thread | Potential team for Tottenham (14/12) at 13:23 12 Dec 2014
So who does everyone want to see on the team for Sunday then? We have a fully fit first team squad and it is only Fabianski who is suspended. I'm having difficulty picking which wingers and CBs I'd like to start! |
| Forum Thread | Just a small reminder... at 09:53 23 Oct 2014
...that we are currently 8th in the league. So for all you negative people out there, get some perspective! Some of the football we have played so far this season has been great, other times it has been disappointing. That's football, whether you like it or not. The results will come, have some patience please and quit the unneccessary moaning. |
| Forum Thread | Shelvey's yellow cards... at 11:25 25 Sep 2014
Is anybody else concerned about Shelvey's disciplinary record? He's accrued 4 yellow cards so far and so is only 1 away from a match ban. Just seems he's gotten quite a few in a short space of time. Hoping he'll mellow out over the course of the season though I guess we're lucky we have a player who is happy to get stuck in to a challenge. Something for him to work on? |
| Forum Thread | Who is impressing/disappointing you the most so far? at 10:57 22 Sep 2014
So, the season is now over a month underway and Swansea are doing pretty well so far, all things considered. Which players are impressing/disappointing you the most and why? Who do you think will shine out the most over the course of the season? I'll go first. Whilst I think that Dyer, Routs and Sigurdsson are doing well, I'm quite impressed Ki and Amat (and yes, I know Amat is injured but I thought he was playing great before). I think Ki is doing really well at making himself available for a pass from the defence and isn't afraid to cover ground once he gets the ball. Seems to be reasonably confident on the ball and I really like him as a player. His loan spell at Sunderland went well and I think he will do well for us this year. I think he is due a bit more credit than he gets. That being said, I think Sigurdsson will be our stand out player this year. Slightly disappointed with Bony from this weekend but other than that I think he is doing okay. He hasn't scored but we all know he adds a lot more to the team than just his goal scoring ability. I am surprised he has gone 5 games without a goal but I'm sure they will come! |
| Forum Thread | Can I ask... at 13:49 5 Jun 2014
Why do (some) Welsh people dislike the English so much? And vice-versa... Now I understand this is clearly going to be a heated debate but some actual answers would be nice. I have lived in England all my life but have Welsh roots. To be honest, I just consider myself British with mixed roots. Looking at history, we all have a bit of various nations in all of us. I love both Welsh and English people and on the whole think they're really nice and very friendly. Obviously, there are some who aren't so nice and seem to hate the English with a passion. There are also English people who equally hate the Welsh (for no apparent reason). Strangely enough, as someone with an English accent, I find the Welsh accent really nice to listen to and makes Welsh folk seem far more friendly. Now I'm not just talking football here. I'm talking general people across the two countries whether they follow football or not. Swansea City play in an English league and have an English manger and English players yet there's no hate towards them? And I know it's not just English-Welsh relations. There are obviously other people with hateful thoughts to other nations too (such as the Scottish or French). No hating on me please, I'm just asking a question and would like some food for thought! |

Good result against Arsenal! Can't complain, though we need to stop conceding multiple goals in a short space of time! Hopefully this will be a valuable point in the next few weeks! A tough fixture, but all credit to the Swans! |
