The way he was limping after the game, I think he's played his last game this season and probably his last game for the club. Can't see him being offered a new deal.
I still believe that Jeff Stelling holds a grudge against us for the two 4-1 pastings we gave his team that season. I always felt he was a bit snidey towards QPR when he was on Soccer Saturday.
A carbon copy of his season with Bournemouth in the Championship a few seasons ago. That team should have pissed automatic promotion with the players he had but only just made it with a game to spare.
If he doesn't get them automatic promotion he'll probably win the play offs and then come the end of August this year when Burnley are rock bottom of the PL, he'll chuck his toys out of the pram just like he did at Bournemouth saying the players aren't good enough.
"That cocksucker is fking up my retirement plan too. Orange c**t."
Agreed. Him and his fúcking tariffs and trade wars are spooking the markets which is having a knock on effect here. My private pension has lost absolutely shit loads from it's value in the last couple of weeks.
"He only only managed 3 caps - Don Revie being an árse"
Unfortunately made the scapegoat for the 2-1 Euros qualifier defeat in Bratislava. He was booked early in the game and he was given a really torrid time by Masny but to be fair to him any left back would have struggled against him that day.
The next game that England played, Revie played a centre back Kevin Beattie at left back, something he would go on to do a lot after this, square pegs in round holes.
Saw him a couple of times in the 80s at Hammy Odeon, he really was an entertainer. Once as part of the New York Jazz Explosion in '85 where he was one of four acts (Lonnie Liston Smith, Tom Browne and Jean Carn) and absolutely stole the show, the other solo a couple of years later. Superb gigs both of them. RIP RA
