Love that photo. Reminds me of the Archers in the early 80s(?) when flat caps were all the thing along with butchers coats….. |

I have one or two. Anyone else? I have to say I respect them for supporting their local team though, even if it is a festering pile of dogshit. |

Stats vary considerably... The UK has lower wealth inequality than Germany, France, Spain, and Italy, with the top 10% owning a smaller share of wealth in the UK (53.3%) compared to these nations. |

We should certainly take a look. One of my favourite players in recent years. |

I agree - this should have been posted on the 'Non-Football' and assumed it was.. As with Angela, I should not have assumed but more thoroughly researched before acting... Just to (hopefully) now close on this as questions still need to be answered: The value of her house up North: How was this valued? £650k is an extremely convenient point for the stamp duty threshold? Also, the house seems to have been valued way higher than any similar property on that street. Why and who valued it? Her son’s trust already owns 50% of the house, and has now acquired a further 25%. How does this benefit him and was it the best use of the trust’s funds? Trustees must always act in the best interests of beneficiaries, not for themselves. Farage is lambasted for hardly ever being in his constituency, how does this square with Angela claiming Hove is now her main residence? How, on top of her other jobs (Dep PM, Housing Minister and Dep Leader of Labour) could this allow any time for constituency visits? She says she took expert advice which her conveyancers have now emphatically denied and her defence of “I didn’t know/understand” doesn’t wash at all. This means it is very hard for me to be sympathetic I’m afraid. Hopefully HMRC will now conduct a thorough investigation and maybe clear her name. |

Right wing media bias? What do you think this is - the 1980s? So in the blue/turquoise corner we have.. The Telegraph The Mail The Express The Sun (which recommended Labour at the last election) The Times - maybe GB News And in the Red corner The Guardian Mirror Independent I Sky news Channel 4 News BBC maybe You can question some of these, but things do seem to have evened up a bit in recent years. In any event, very few younger voters are interested in any of these… |

You must not have had any international dealings then, as London is still very much a world leader when it comes to corporate matters and the law... |

What have past Tory ministers go to do with the business qualifications of the current Government's front bench? |

Yet again I ask the question, what does "rich" mean? Can working class people not be rich as you seem to believe that they are "not allowed to know about it"... And what is "Working Class" today? Is it the same as "hard working people"? And, for that matter, what constitutes "hard work"? |

Sorry Jo, how can they ALL be people with "other business interests"? Isn't the claim that none of the Gov front has any business experience whatsoever false then? |

Fair point. Ironically, Mone is a woman and working class - but like Rayner she isn't being pursued because of that. Both have a case to answer. |

I meant that people seem to forget how desperate most people were during Covid with burial pits seemingly being dug in places like Manhattan. Ok, there may well have been corruption, but at the time there was a mad dash for anything PPE. Now, in hindsight, people forget the paranoia and blame politicians for the stupidity of lockdown etc - whereas weren't all of the mainstream parties in favour of this? |

Fair points Sogs, but... It might be no worse than Zahari - but she called him out big time and demanded he should go. Hence the stench of hypocrisy around this. Also, relying on advisers is not necessarily a great defence for someone in charge of housing. We must remember too that the advice any adviser gives is completely reliant on the information received from the client. This will have been made clear in any appointment letter, together with various disclaimers about not giving advice on issues outside their remit (such as tax) with a recommendation the client seeks appropriate specialist advice. Whichever way we cut it, Ange is in a tight spot... |

Not quite sure that's 100% accurate 901. HMRC will approve share option schemes in advance for example, hence there are 'approved' and 'unapproved' schemes- although I appreciate that the footballers were caught up in an entirely different sort of scheme. |
