I wouldn't have thought that was the case but unlike us braintree seem to want to get their transfer business done quickly. They need to replace the players who have left as a number have moved on. Plus we are secretly hoping they get as many players as they need to do the double over S**t***d. I think the cowleys are targeting certain players as they want players with the same work ethic as Anderson, though they defo need to sort the defence out and bring in a quality striker. Perhaps this could maybe be a sign that chilvers is staying as he is similar in playing style to cooper though more experienced and with more ability. |

We really need to keep hunting for better quality and let Bromley & Swindon fight over him. The fact is we have brought a 1st choice GK and a right winger in. We need one or 2 decent defenders and a decent goalscorer plus replacements for Mingi & Fevrier (and possibly McGeehan & Chilvers if they don't renew their contracts with us). Obviously we also don't know which contracted players DC is looking to move on and which players at other clubs/free agents he is potentially targeting are also looking to move on. It'll be an interesting few weeks to come but hopefully they'll be productive |

Anderson could also be joining and DC wants a number 9 player so it'll be interesting to see who he has lined up - then you have to factor in replacements for Mingi & Fevrier as well as where he wants to bolster other positions. |

I don't quite agree with that - I think DC has spoken to RC with a list of players he is targeting and positions he wants filled and unfortunately to fill these positions he will need decent wage offers and possibly even transfer fees. DC knows what direction he wants to take the U's and unfortunately sacrifices ultimately have to be made if he wants the players who he is targeting.. I think Stockport have ambition and will surprise a few people next season. [Post edited 4 Jun 8:54]

The problem is that if he was 18 or 19 and scoring regularly like that then Championship and even Premier League clubs would be fighting for him as well. I reckon he could play at a higher level but the question is how high... |

Kane Gilbert is leaving Halstead Town and scored 37 goals last season so could be a good player if we decide to sign him. He is only 23 so definitely scope for improvement IF he can make the jump from Essex Senior League to L2 which could be a gamble - though Joe Taylor jumped from Non league to the EFL and scored for fun. 6' 7'' according to Wikipedia. Could be a good signing as he has played in the SPL & League One. A tall commanding keeper is definitely what we need. |

I hope the Cowleys have got some decent targets in mind with Mingi gone and Fevrier and possibly even Chilvers likely to be moving on as well - hopefully we'll get decent fees if thate the case. |

Keeping quiet about signings is usually RC's way but 2 Keepers we could aim for are Paul Farman & Jack Sims. Farman has a solid track record and Sims could potentially make the step up to EFL. |

I think Kemp would be an excellent player for us if he joins. I reckon he would have led the line well at MK Dons next season but obviously they are looking for something else. Don't forget DC said that we would be aggressive when trying to sign players. |

Both would be very good additions I imagine. I don't know if AFCW would have first refusal on Bass though. Harris seems a very capable striker but would he come down to L2 level or would he still want to try L1? Saying that, if we show ambition then who knows? |

So far Crawley are 1-0 up, can't see MK doing a Liverpool type turnaround tbh... |

Contracted players could potentially be loaned out or sold on, though for the most part probably not for massive fees in the latter scenario. It depends on how much DC values them and their ability. |
