Great result and we do go into the playoffs with some real momentum now. Whether we rest players again on Monday or keep the side going will be a tough one for Jim, I think.

On Mitchell, he will obviously be disappointed that Bird was brought in and put in front of him and he's been scoring and also Rodney overtaking him in the league goals tally with a much better goal to minute ratio. I'd say its up to him whether he wants to show fight to regain his form and place in the team.

I was surprised when I saw this stat yesterday and how many goals he's actually scored because it felt like he'd barely scored any by Christmas.

One frustrating thing is it seems whenever Hendo or Bird are playing, Rodney seems to drift more central and looks like he wants to play football. Whenever Mitchell starts with him or comes on, it seems to push him out wide and he just doesn't look anywhere near as bothered. Had he been central all season he'd have nearly 30 goals imo.

Another performance where we created next to nothing. Another away game where we've conceded late. Another game in hand lost.

0 away wins in 2025. Not good enough. But to be fair, the pitch was bad, Sutton have a bigger budget than us, the ref was awful and we have loads of injuries so it's alright.

The fact we were 2 minutes away is a moot point. The game is played until the referee blows the final whistle, not 2 minutes before it. We weren't good enough to beat a part time side a division below us at home either in 90 minutes plus added time of normal play nor kicking the ball from 18 yards away.

Too many times we've let leads slip this season because we can't see games out. The buck for that stops with the manager. It wasn't an individual error today, its a systematic problem we have stemming from a manager who can't get us up for important games or games in front of a decent crowd.

Going off recent attendances and then today's performance. We're nearer project 500 than project 5,000.

The last time we took a 1-0 lead into the final 10 mins and held on was against Worthing in February. The time before that was Leamington in in December.

It's no coincidence or surprise that we've failed to do so again.

Tactical masterclass by the manager again. How many times are we going to be in the lead and not see the game out.

No excuse for what we've seen today.

Fair play to Spennymoor. They came to do one thing. Did it and have their day at Wembley.

Must be really encouraging for our players to know that they aren't real deals and are just compromises.

1) Pitches
2) Officials
3) Budgets
4) Schedule

All four seem to be ready made excuses after every game, one is just picked at random (other than budget for anyone who's above us in the league) of which every team in the league goes through at least 3 of them. There's never any responsibility taken.

We've played the top 2 teams in the division, both at home recently and have been comprehensively battered by both. Taking our record to 4 losses in 4 games against them.

We're absolutely light years from being a football league team again.

Embarrassing and completely unacceptable performance from everyone in this second half. I can't remember a worse 25 mins of football than this.

I dont get why we have to start every home game so pedestrian. We've scored 7 goals in 19 games in the first half of our home games this season.

It's like we're not even bothered until the second half.

0-2.

No coincidence we've gone back to confusion and p*ssing about at the back on EEL's return.

He looked like he reached for his groin a couple of times as he was going off so might have tweaked something there.

I think the main differences today were Barlow looked like a game changer and drove us forward all the time. Rightly MoM imo. Rodney playing off a front man looked a completely different player, he looked interested and alert and ran at the defenders, something we haven't seen for a while.

Their keeper repaid the favour to give us a goal, though between them Hendo and Mitchell tried their best to not score.

Another poor performance. 1 win in 6, 2 goals in 6.

They also only won 2 of their last 11 games falling from almost certain automatic promotion into the play off places.

They also picked up that McNulty is statuesque and says nothing on the sideline seemingly happy with what he sees.

Nearly 500 minutes of football and we've scored 1 goal in that period. Different players, same boring system, we can't break them down and as usual we've had more of the ball but the better chances have fallen to the opponent.

Calamitous goal to concede but they put the ball in danger areas, all of our crosses have floated like a feather straight to their keeper.

As others have said, they were everything we weren't.

Organised, physical, clinical, up for it.

There was a stark difference between their manager who was barking instructions and encouragement to his players even to the point you could hear him telling his defenders they could afford to relax when they had a corner. To ours who stands there, hands in pockets looking clueless once the players cross the line.

More boring dross. Punished by a clinical team way ahead of where we are.
