Apologies.. i have changed the opening line on my post to something more aligned to the positive moves by the club to increase attendances at Spotland on a match day.

It was not my intention to be negative.

Winning football matches is the key ingredient and in that department the players have delivered a perfect 12 points from our opening 4 league games.

Excellent story that a son has now encouraged his City supporting Dad to Dale and they both have season cards.

The club must keep trying new initiatives to build on what has been a transformative 12 months.. all positive.

If the winning run keeps going into mid October we must be able to get 3000 home fans through the gates.

I too thought 17 was too young for the National League in goals.

I was wrong.. this kid is amazing. Looks 25 and plays like an experienced pro.

He is on a season loan… enjoying himself playing men’s football.

Superb signing!

I thought we would attract more than 2500 yesterday.

Schools are back … Dale made it 4 wins from 4 at Spotland (League)

It shows what a difficult task it is to grow the fan base.

Started the season on fire…

Looks to be really enjoying himself with Dale!! Long may this continue.

Selfless hard working and prepared to all the hard yards… add his obvious eye for a goal or two..

Fantastic work by all concerned to get him here.

Being fair to the Braintree gaffer he was pretty spot on.

Mani / Barlow / Gilmour all having a superb first half.

Should have had at least one more goal before half time. Braintree to their credit did a lot better second half and you could feel the home crowd go a lot quieter including U block and our drum..

It’s 3 more points… another clean sheet at home and we have scored 9 goals at Spotland now in the four undefeated home games… onwards to our longest away trip of the season to Truro…

There is a big test coming up I am looking forward to seeing how this group performs with 3 Saturdays against Southend / Carlisle and FGR.. there is the test we will know October 4th if we are the real deal or flat track bullies.

What a goal...

Behind the goal after several Daleys had walked to the ground and we recovered from 2-0 down to win.

My memory shocking but confident above is correct. Can anybody post the you tube goal?.

A huge chance to continue the positive start.

Big Jim will be pleased that we are well rested after our midweek York postponement whereas Braintree Town played on Tuesday night losing to Tamworth 2-1.

Should be a really good home crowd with a feel good factor around the club and the players performing well on the pitch.

If that shot had pro-nouns it would identify as shit...

Priceless.

Just brilliant.. just caught up after a few days holiday.

NFR - decent pub food

Food at the Fold is pretty good.

The landlady has run the place quite a while its a consistent decent place for sure.

Others to consider - The Old Cock or the Rose of Lancaster. They are both close by.

I liked him but he is young and blows hot and cold.

Positives - He has pace and a wicked left footed cross.. whips fantastic balls across its a shame our other FGR player Kairo Mitchell hadnt the pace or intelligence to get on the end of them.

I am told he is a great lad and he has a great engine.

Negatives are subjective but in my eyes.. Lightweight and positionally naive.. He is not a defender and against the better sides he was a little short on something especially defensively if that helps.

How are FGR looking I see (a bit like us) you have had some luck with who you played in your opening games (No perceived big gun)

Solihull Moors 24th
Yeovil 14th
Sutton 20th
Halifax 15th
Eastleigh 9th
Braintree 16th
Morecambe 23rd

Above does represent probably the "softest" start of the current top 7.

Excellent 3 points.

It’s a shame York is postponed this week but the positive is we get time to prepare for the next game on Saturday.

Reports suggest Dale worthy winners.

Nice comments from the Wealdstone manager he speaks really well they have had a tough run of games and they have Southend to play this midweek.

5 wins from the opening 6 games.. keep this winning habit up Dale..

Southend doing there business winning 2-1 away at Solihull Moors (80th Minute).

Drops Dale to 3rd without kicking a ball, we get our chance to put our marker down in 45 minutes.

Come on the Dale today!.

Team selection today is key..

Strong side with plenty of pace / power and set up positively.

Wealdstone had 2 defeats over the bank holiday weekend let’s get at them and hopefully gain our first ever win on their meadow.

I have not seen any news on Barlow, plenty of eyes on this one from all us Daleys.

It’s a bit disheartening 2 hours from kick off when there is more traction on BBM watch thread than there is discussing all things Dale..

Wealdstone not an easy place to go.

This is Dales 3rd game down at Grosvenor Vale both previous visits ending with 2 losses and 0 points.

Time to put that right tomorrow, positive tactics, well executed should put us in a great position come 5pm.

Come on Dale, Time to Shine away from home.

Understood most of that post and the parts i understood are a great idea.

Something from Jim / the players passed to the group as an appreciation would be a really nice touch... Not that they are any more special than all home supporters at Spotland we all attend differently after all.

I am hoping that the evergrowing number in U block keeps increasing as word spreads. (k)nob heads not invited though!!

Jim made comment after Sutton regarding this.. he notices and the players really appreciate and enjoy it.

So far so good... loud, encouraging and well behaved.

Hoping the section can grow considerably without attracting the nob head element that sadly resurfaces when Dale do well (Usually the bigger games).

The atmosphere really is so much better than previous seasons.

From the main stand the big Dale flag looks great as well as the players come out onto the pitch.
