We could be home and hosed by 5pm Monday if we have the perfect Easter.
Should be looking to win every game now and secure that home eliminator tie… Alty will be viewing Friday as a must win… get toe to toe with them and more of the same from yesterday!!
It is no easier to take on Sunday morning for me also..
firstly 442 is one of us and isn't the enemy, I agree with chunks of what he is trying to say..
The day started badly with the turnstile fiasco.. see the separate thread. The experiment of the drum and the singing section imploded they have to be back in the Sandy lane ASAP as Yoof who cannot behave are either aligned with or drawn towards this section of support. the full time scenes just unacceptable and disgraceful. Lifetime banning orders have to be issued to send the correct message.
First half was a non event Dale not landing a blow and lucky not to be 0-1 down at half time.
Improved second half but poor decision making by the team and an inability to see out a game raising its head for the umpteenth time this season. Two really poor goals to concede and why the keeper is not punching that cross clear 90+4 is a mystery.
The header blazed over at 2-1 was as poor as the missed penalty. The stuttering 2 yard run up to make it 5-5 never filling me with any confidence.
Can the players recover from that as there is one more shot left of glory this season? sadly not if the tactics and body language carry on from yesterday.
This can work one of two ways, maybe we will see a reaction from the players on Tuesday but more importantly at home in front of 2000 on Saturday v Eastleigh.
What a missed opportunity by the club off the pitch and the players on it.
Yesterday aside from abject football was a disaster. Every turnstile needs to be open ideally by 1.30 with fully briefed staff on hand with a simple mission of helping fans, new, lapsed and existing get into the stadium quickly and safely with the minimum of fuss.
Yesterday was badly organised and not thought through at all for one stand holding a shade over 1500 people. Goodness knows where we go from here.
Fantastic performance yesterday and Dale move up a place into 6th.
It’s very congested though with 5 teams separated by only 3 points….. it’s a big game on Tuesday now hoping the high tempo style of play continues.
Rodney and Hendo up top as a 2 makes a huge difference… hoping Beckwith and Hogan can get out of the ice bath today and feel ok - fit and ready to go again..
No messing at the back.. the new keeper did really well but the masterclass of the day was Rodney and Hendo …. Both magnificent
