Morecambe crest of a wave start has seriously imploded.

Incredible looking back that they beat Alty first game of their season...

Currently played 13 (as many games as Dale) and have conceded an eye watering 39 goals.

Ashvir Singh Johal had more success when he managed Leicester under 12's that much is true.

I wonder if the Punjab Warriors still have the same appetite to own a football club after what looks a dogs dinner on the Lancashire Coast.

And Boreham Wood... Away!!

Played 14 have Boreham Wood and lost once.. they sit 3rd in the table with the 3rd best goal difference in the national league.

Realistically that was another great win and marker by Dale.

Owdum had a lesser game v Local rivals Salford on Saturday.

They could not score and lost 1-0.

Dale 11 wins from 13 if we replicate this over the next 13 it will make for a very interesting second half of the season.

As previous… onwards to Woking.

Congrats to Mr and Mrs EEL.

Superb win Dale in total control throughout.

Hard to be overly critical on any player especially a defender after a clean sheet but I thought Hogan looked off the pace and his misplaced pass very nearly gifted Yeovil a goal at 1-0 and what would have been an undeserved way back into the game.

Mani D - Fantastic.. lets hope him and Rodney stay fit all season.

I thought Mani might see red after the pushing and shoving.. In the end the ref got that one right.

The whole team look on it.. brilliant. 11 wins from 13 is stuff of dreams.

A tough looking November coming up. we will know a lot more about our chances in this league in 5 or 6 weeks time.

All roads now lead to Woking.

FA Cup 4th Q- York City (H) 11th Oct -Match Thread
at 17:36 13 Oct 2025

On the game I thought two good sides who on reflection will both Challenge at the top end of the national league all season.

Newby excellent for York, possibly MOM. There was a first half warning when he was unmarked at the edge of the Dale box, his shot just wide.

Edge of the box unmarked (2) was an absolute beauty fair play.

Edge of the box unmarked (3) was the winner all be it a howler from our keeper.

Over 90 minutes eradicate the needless defensive errors (What was Beckwith trying to do first half!!) and be more ruthless final 3rd we are easily a match for York City.

Bring on Yeovil, lets crack on now with this National League priority. I would like to go as deep as possible in the FA Trophy given no FA Cup matches this year.

It’s not walking football far from it…

East our best chance from our only meaningful shot.

2 defensive mistakes led to two good York chances (one was a sitter 1v1) thankfully they missed both.

Need to shoot more we need any goal not THE perfect goal.

Can Dale go up this year?

Realistically?

What are the main encouraging things you have seen so far in the opening 10 wins?

Twelve Games in what next?
at 17:24 6 Oct 2025

12 league games in and 30 points..

another 11 that will be 23 and the half time review.

Best to not look too far ahead but if we can replicate in the next 11 what we have achieved in the opening 12 we will be sitting very nicely indeed.

10 wins from 12 is unbelievable.. credit to Jim, his team and the players.

Kairo missed his early chance and got dragged. Has he cupped his ear yet to the FGR fans?

Should have put the game to bed with further goals second half. Dale need to stay top now and as others alluded become win ruthless.. Barnet/Chesterfield/Wrexham/Stockport all have shown the way in recent seasons.

Lets agree with Jim for a moment.. The "recommended advice" is Rodney should play half a game.

If Rodney can play 45 minutes... of the two which is the best scenario..

Warm up pre match have loose muscles and play 1-45 first half.

Warm up pre match - sit on the bench.. muscles go cold and you play 45-90.

Its absolute folly to be trying to protect what might, or might not happen.

Rodney and EEL should have started last night STOP Over thinking it.

2900 from Dale on a Tuesday excellent. Halifax at home is for many the stand out home fixture (This season).

Then comes the tinkering.. was to much focus on Saturday rather than the immediate game in hand?. Play the game in front of you and then reassess the following morning.

Hogan for EEL and Rodney on the bench looked like a nod to Saturday - Halifax benefited from those 2 decisions.

The fact EEL and Rodney had maximum exposure and exertion in the second half makes the managing player fitness thought process redundant.

We cant play our best 11 every week but we can play our best available 11.

Last night Jim got it wrong.. looking at the team sheet it looked unbalanced and so it proved.

Hogan is just to slow now physically, mentally and execution.

Gordon has a tough game closed down half a dozen times by the hard working Halifax players.

Tarryn needs to spend a week cutting inside some cones on the training ground and deciding how to shoot underneath the bar not blazing it high and wide.

Mani isolated with 2 or 3 defenders snapping at his heels.. was his disallowed goal handball? it happened very quickly it was probably the right decision.

Rodney and EEL should have started. Its at home in our local Derby with valuable 3 points on offer. As mentioned previously by others the energy expunged in the last 30 minutes makes rotation and supposed rest nonsense.

On a positive note Dale could easily have got something from last night despite going 2-0 down. The midweek home crowd was up and we did get an entertaining game. This side still learning and i think we will see a big reaction on Saturday and a performance to match.

9 wins from 11 and a massive top of the table clash at the weekend. Bring that on.

The build up starts.

Going into the game with 6 consecutive wins the team will be supremely confident.

I like the fact they all look "bought in" ... together.. knowing they have a huge job to do this year. Its a hunger that comes out in spades, one we have not seen for quite some time.

Good Luck tomorrow Dale!!.

Light Rain Then and stops in good time.

Get the water hogs ready just in case a quick roll is required.

Could the club just cover the known problematic corner?.

If its off James we are in HUGE trouble.

Monday and Tuesday glorious sunshine.

Wednesday is match day and 8 hours worth of rain forecast 9am-5pm.

It is forecasted "light" and with basic precautions taken it will be game on.
