Eastleigh provided the perfect opposition for Dale in which they played and you could hear their manager having a ago aswell...
Even though Dale won 4-0 the score just papers over the problems, lack of movement at times when the keeper or a defender is looking for a through and it just ends up being played left to right and back again the two wide men played well enough.
When Mitchell came on was poor, he jumped up to try and head the ball but it was like his boots where made of concrete and his touch is very poor aswell.
Corey Edwards played really well and made his presence known to which Eastleigh player was close by.
Nice to see Henderson get as much time has he did.. |

Didnt McNulty state that Kelly is a good up and coming keeper!
I'm sure that McNulty said so in one of his earlier interviews as manager.. |

Will McNulty play Brad Kelly tonight or go with the loan keeper!
Look how many keepers this season at the club and Kelly gets over looked time and time again also there where times that even a keeper did not make the bench.. |

McNulty came in at an extremely tough period and has taken Dale as far as he can and now Dale need a manager to take it up another few levels. |

Last night Dale where out performed on the pitch and off the pitch.
JM fault is his plan A attitude just like Southgate was as manager and if he wants to progress as a manager then that plan A must become plan B etc...
Signing players like Bird will be a step forward to improve the team but not only signing that type of player McNulty needs to improve the squad for next season by cutting down on signing wide players etc and bring in an jones type midfielder or two for the middle.
Upfront is a big problem, I was watching Mitchell during the match as for a big straping lad he foes not offer anything physical to the side.
His heading attributes are poor and his overall control he seems easily pushed off the ball somewhat..
All in all Mitchell n Rodney have been average this season..
As for JM i say give him next season to improve the squad from this season.. |

The signing of Bird of proved that just after a couple of matches how inferior Mitchell and Rodney are....
Watching Bird play shows what our two strikers will never achieve, it is jnot ust about scoring goals but other attributes...
What is scarey is the fact come summer Dale will be left with Rodney at the main striker...
Henderson retires.
Mitchell rumoured to leave.
Bird goes back to his parent club..
JM has some serious recruiting to do.... |

JM should be looking to loan EEL out and not have him start a match that proved quite clearly for all to see he isnt fit enough or good enough for a quick passing game...
Also just hope that JM does not have him in his plans for the semi or even the ginal should Dale get there.
Time to move him on in the summer by making him available to clubs.... |

Last 10mins of the first half Dale seem to have got more into the quick break but they need to shoot more than try n pass..
Dale could be 2 o 3 ahead if they did....

Without Rodney in the starting 11 and with Bird playing Dale look a better team.
Im not slating Rodney but he just does not look right at all..
We have seen him easily pushed off the ball, he does not seem to get a foot in and his ball control has been poor.
I would not be surprised that after being out with whatever was wrong with him last season has caught up with him as this season progresses..... |

Watching Bird the last couple of matches and he offers a physical presence up front which is what Dale have been missing...
Hoping that Bird is out of contract in the summer and Dale offer him the contract to sign him... |
