What does “Freedom of the City of London” actually mean? In my imagination it means you can drive on the pavement, run around stark bollock naked, sing off-key at the top of your lungs on the tube, and, indeed, walk your sheep across London Bridge. But I dare say there is a real meaning. |

Nice. Thanks for the feedback. I’m glad those who have seen it give it high marks. I’m a bit biased but anything that mentions QPR gets high marks right away. |

So Red Pitch is a play about three lads who are trying to break into football and try-out for QPR. There must’ve been a thread on this at some point but I clearly missed it, because the play was in the West End. Anyhow, it’s coming to America and its US debut is at a small theater near where I live. There is even a Q&A with the playwrite. I’m going this weekend and will definitely be wearing a QPR shirt. I’m thinking Red/Black for the Q&A and classic for the play itself. Has anyone seen it yet? |

Exactly my thought. There were differences (for one, where it fell on the pitch) but -- winger battles down the right, scraps his way to the bye-line, manages to get a cross in to a dangerous area, defender knocks it out, ball fall to Zamora/Vale who turns body and side-foots it past an outstretched goalie. 1-0! It was the turn of the hip that made it look so similar [Post edited 20 Sep 16:29]

Good fckin win. My nerves are done. Hard win. Well done to all the lads. The focus was there. The determination was there. Some really hopeful signs. Saito was great, particularly in the second half. Madsen played well Vale is coming into himself. Delighted for the goal. Should do him a lot of good. |

A lot to enjoy. Just gotta see it out. Stop really haven't offered too much yet. A couple of chances, but too happy to Spain-it-around in their own half. Boring, pointless, useless. Trouble is, they have good players, so we have to keep our eye on the ball and concentrate |

At times we look quite good in possession, almost there. You can see what they are trying to do and it's almost great. A few more games together as a unit and it could click. Players just need to build understanding of each other, but it looks like they are close. Its a bit frustrating right now because things look ragged when the clips and sharp passes don't work, but the possibilities are there |

The thing is, in every game there are two teams and both are trying really hard. The fact that the opposition team comes into the game at some point, is pretty much a given. They are bound to. There are eleven of their payers straining with every fiber of their being to get on top and at some point they are going to have a spell. Wrexham has a 20 minute spell (out of 90) when they looked like they had their act together and during it they scored a well-taken header from a corner. Very hard to keep out for goalie when it comes that fast and through that many bodies. There is no point pointing fingers and acing surprised. In the end, we didn't give up the lead and we were never really in danger of doing so. Good performance all round. Enjoy the feeling |

A terrible first half crowned off with a glorious goal!! That first half was almost unwatchable. We looked awful. Complete without capability or creativity; resorting to the long-throw as our best idea. Hopefully Kone can live up to his potential, Dunne can get back to health, and Julian can sort it out — particularly our slow-as-hell defense. But that strike, it almost gave me hope. We will see Roll on second 45 |
 | Forum Reply | If Celar is the answer what's the question 🤔 at 19:34 10 Aug 2025
Agree with OP 100%. Celar is like Dykes but without the workmate or intimidation factor. People always said of Dykes "he holds up the ball we''" or "he works hard". Arghhhh. We need a striker who gets in the box and put the ball on target, who creates chances by his positioning and shooting. Celar is nowhere to be sen. We have at least four players (Chair, Dembele, and Poku and Madsen) who are looking to get the ball into the box, but whenever they do, there is no-one ready to get on the end of their ball in. Yesterday, Dembele and Poku kept racing down the wings and when they looked up for a target there was no-one there to receive. Its maddening. What the fck does Celar think his job is? Hang out just out of range until the last possible moment and then throw his hands up is surprise??? Make a fckin run to the front post, or back post (depending on the situation) so that you are in the dangerous spot before the defender!!! |

It wasn’t his debut. It was against Wales and the first game that Mercer was the interim England Manager. Bowles scored his one and only goal for England with his left foot that day |

Stan’s life and career was littered with great stories, like the time Sunderland were proudly displaying their recently won FA Cup on the sideline and Stan knocked it off its pedestal with a sweeping ball from the other side of the pitch, or the various escapades that nearly landed him in jail. So what is your favorite Stan Bowles story? |

Surely, Hannah Hampton was player of the match and player of the tournament. The number of crucial saves she made to keep England in the game today and a in most of England's games AND the fact that she faced 11 penalties and only conceded 3 in two penalty shoot-outs. That is crazy. |

Fifa have cut standard ticket prices for the Club World Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Fluminense in New Jersey on Tuesday from $473.90 to $13.40. A FIFA spokesperson was quoted as saying “Yeah well, you can’t right charge much more than that for those idiots. I mean, they are a load of crap, after all” |
 | Forum Thread | Julien Stephan —New Gaffer at 15:59 22 Jun 2025
Julien Stephan has been widely reported as the "odds-on favorite" to take over, and Johannes Hoff Thorup and Pierre Sage have also been linked to the role. However, there has been no official announcement from QPR about a new manager agreeing to take the position. The strongest source for the rumor about Julien Stephan becoming QPR's new manager is Sky Sports' Rob Dorsett. He reported on Twitter (which was then picked up by various sports news sites like Football FanCast and Football League World) that Stephan had agreed to become the new QPR manager and would be signing a contract shortly. Other sources, such as French journalist Marc Mechenoua (reported by Football League World and Get French Football News) and West London Sport, have also stated that an agreement in principle or a two-year deal has been reached. Additionally, betting sites have consistently listed Julien Stephan as the "odds-on favorite" to take the job, further solidifying the speculation. |
