The Drogs are my local team. I grew up watching them when the Irish league games were played on Sundays back in the day.
Gutted for them, they’ve been through the mill over the years and were close to going to the wall more than once.
In fact, my first time seeing QPR was in a pre-season friendly in 1984 at home in United Park. We had qualified for the UEFA cup that season and lost 14-0 to Spurs over 2 legs in the first round. Decisions like these always punish the little clubs disproportionately.
I miss making spending plans for the 25 gazillion that's coming our way, still. The interest earned on it alone since first mooted would have gotten us half a new squad.
