Certainly worth a 1 year extension based on recent performances. He should have played regularly much earlier in the season when Kairo wasn't scoring. |

Gateshead 2-0 up at Forest Green is the only disappointing score so far.
However it does show that the play offs could be wide open with no outstanding side in there. |

Weston is a different type of midfielder I think. He has not performed badly but Edwards has been eye catching as a much more creative force. |

Normal service resumed I hope.
League table looks a lot better this afternoon and our goal difference is worth an extra point!
Also a good run out for the fringe players. Just need a goal for Kairo. |

Personally I am glad to see him back as I rate him but don't think that Jim does for whatever reasons.
Anyway our real problems are at the other end of the pitch scoring goals.
Hopefully improve our goal difference to-day. |

No need to panic just yet but in true Rochdale style we have made things more difficult than they needed to be. It is probably now that we rue the daft points dropped during the course of the season
Given the unpredictability and state of the league I think that 9 points should see us qualify for the play offs. It is a lottery after that.
If we win our game in hand on Saturday the league will look a lot better especially if Altringham and Southend drop points. The encouragement of an early goal could change everything. Otherwise we need to target home games against Fylde and Hartlepool.
Hopefully Bird / East and Rodney will be fit for a few of these games and that the emergence of Corey Edwards can be sustained. The new keeper will also have more time to settle in with the defence.
Looking for the likes of Barlow, Hendo, Tarryn and Gilmour to step up to the mark for a last big push. I hope that there has been plenty of shooting and set piece training this week. |

Agree but don't know why we appear to be so injury prone.
Bird could still turn our season round but I think the new keeper will need more protection than Waller did from what I could see on the highlights. |

Tuesday's team selection will be interesting. Need to be resolute and try not to concede if possible with the hope of snatching a goal or two ourselves.
Given our problems I would imagine EEL and Kairo will need to come back into the side? |

If people want to cause trouble like back in the 70's we should be able to deal with it.

Too many ifs and buts. Two steps forward and three back!
We are nowhere as good a team as some think we are and certainly not ready for a successful return to the EFL.
Should we get into the play off anything could (but is unlikely), to happen as I don't think we are suited to play off football or one off tactical battles.
Next season wont be any easier with some useful sides being relegated from the EFL and promoted from both National League North and South.
This squad is brittle and some players need to go as they are no better than part timers. We need 3-4 decent signings in key positions.
If the manager remains in charge performances need to be commensurate with our status, budget and the level of backing being received from the Ogden family. At the moment we are off the mark.

Alty have played two more than us but depending on results it could be a play off decider of sorts.
We need a boost after the disappointment of to-day. |
