As much as that is true, Dykes was given the number 9 shirt from the moment he signed in 2020 and therefore had that number for 4 seasons before being sold last year. Celar was given the number 18 last year (my point about strikers and the affiliation with that number when 9 is already taken) and has been given the number 9 “fresh” this year. If he was on the verge of leaving wouldn’t you just stick with his as 18 and leave the 9 free for a “replacement” As I said, all straw clutching and hypothetical. Probably means nothing and they are all “just numbers” |

Interesting (or not as the case may be) that no number 18 - generally taken by strikers when the number 9 is taken (1+8 =9 and its also double 9) may be a clue in there. Also seems Celar is staying. Otherwise why give him the 9 to ship him out 2 weeks later. Saito wore 14 last year. Not allocated. Of course, this is all hypothetical and straw clutching of the highest order. |

That’s one option but apparently there was a cut off date to do that, the Forrest lunatic owner did in in April just in case they made champions league and it clashed with Olympiacos. Now that hasn’t happened he’s taken his shares back. As you say, fingers crossed they get booted out and Eze leaves for European footy. Also would mean Brighton get the bump up to the conference league, talk about rub salt in the wound. |

Both subs went down as a concussion substitution, however, Fields was definitely his ankle stopping him carrying on but we played it off as concussion to get the extra sub. When the sky camera panned to the incident close up Field was holding his ankle from the start but the medic kept checking his head every now and then, presumably to show it was “concussion” Sneaky move, but fair play for thinking tactically about it. Assume it’s a reoccurrence of the injury he has been out with. |

From Brizzles website: “Tickets for Bristol City’s trip to face Oxford United will go on priority sale on Monday, January 13th (10am. The club have received the full allocation of 1,497 tickets for the trip to the Kassam Stadium, and this will first go on sale to Season Ticket holders who have attended six or more Sky Bet Championship Away fixtures (up to and including Sheffield Wednesday) during the 2024/25 season, before further priority categories” Same allocation as Cov and Pompey, As per their websites, so it appears that will be our allocation. |

Coventry were allocated 1,500 for their game a couple of weeks ago, as were Pompey in Feb so I’d say that’s the allocation. |
 | Forum Reply | Tonight's Draw - Ball Number 20 at 22:15 28 Aug 2024
Is there any point doing the draw - from what I can see at the moment from Newcastle fans and staff they are acting like they’ve just won the whole thing, not a second round game against a team in your own league!! Sir Les in the studio too - is he doing the draw? |
 | Forum Reply | Ilias Chair at 12:09 2 Aug 2024
He is in the photoshoot video that the club put out on social media yesterday. Photo Being taken of him holding a ball, presumably for Team announcement graphics, goal gifs etc. club only chose to show a handful of players in the short 30 second video but assume they made a point of including him to show he’s just injured and nothing more sinister is going on. |

It also isn’t common practice for us to do this. It has only been in place for this one game because the club know full well that a million Leeds fans (they would have brought more don’t you know) will want a ticket in the home end! Not exactly rocket science is it. |

Wasn’t looking forward the usual standard Preston “housing” but it’s going to be unbearable now! Of all the teams to be playing! |

Gary O’Neil? Knows the club, worked wonders at Bournemouth last year after being told he couldn’t bring anyone in and got the best out of a bunch of players told they weren’t good enough for that level by Parker. |

Living in Essex, where you’re no more than 5 yards from a West Ham or Spurs plastic fan (where I’ve probably been to their ground more than they actually have) the default answer is usually “oh well I guess someone’s got to” As much as the club drives me crazy it is great when you bump into a fellow R, always a little “You Rs” between people when you a see the odd random shirt around town. Something you just don’t get supporting any of the so called “bigger” clubs. |

Penny for the thoughts of Kenneth Paal, Leon Balogun et al. Uprooting their families, moving their homes and entire lives for a bloke who’s off within months. - if I was a player and GRangers came to try and sign me I’d certainly be questioning anything Beale says. Especially if he wanted me to “go to the well” as he always bleats on about. To be honest I’m not sure he’s all that and a bag of chips, clearly a decent coach you can’t deny that, but we are still basically the same team as we were under Warburton. STILL too reliant on Chair and in particular Willock, STILL conceding from set pieces on the regular, STILL inconsistent with both performances and results and STILL don’t have a clear plan b or change of style when needed. This time last season we were 5th with similar points total. Personally I’d go for Critchley and I’d be surprised if it’s not him, either that or Liam Richardson. [Post edited 26 Nov 2022 20:43]

Funnily enough I immediately thought of this one. Let hope we can play football like that 1996 Keegan team |

Due to cases within the Birmingham camp. Does that put our game with them on the 2nd Jan in doubt now? We could be on the other side of the coin now, where we had it relatively early on the rest of the leagues teams are starting to “catch up” for want of a better phrase.
