 | News Comment | Will's Appointment InStilling Some Much Needed Positivity at 10:38:14
Only time will tell. After the worst season in my 66 years since I first went through the turnstiles on Boxing Day 1959, then like supporters sincerely hope that this new dawn will bring a true smile back to our footballing lives. My first impressions are that we seem to have made a decent appointment, but there are many twists and turns to come over the next two months. The comings and goings are going to be crucial to many supporters to lift their hopes and dreams after last season’s apocalyptic decisions made by the owner. Godd luck Mr Still, you have my support as positivity from you can be infectious. Time for Saints to March on again. |
 | News Comment | Why Johannes Spors Went For Will Still Over Danny Rohl at 12:18:27
The decision has been made so we now wait for the summer transfer market, but will it be with optimism or has the last twelve months dented our confidence so much we are dreading the comings and goings? I sincerely hope Mr Still has the full support of the board to recruit and sell as he wishes. There are some good players at St Mary’s, but we all know that if we are to build confidence and change attitudes of the supporters then serious decisions about who goes and who stays. We all know who is a good footballer and who is not fit to wear the red and white stripes. The 24/25 season showed us what the managers in control couldn’t see or were so stubborn that, as Maggie said “the manager is not for turning”. Well, Mr Still, I for one has an early positive attitude towards next season and with Mr Spors in place, his work has also been positive. Players we have on loan will go, our loaness will return which I hope many are given a chance to shine under the new manager. Mistakes in last years transfer market will hinder recruitment unless they are so disillusioned with SFC that they request to leave ( I wish…). At least I can enjoy the summer after a disastrous 24/25 season where the owner lost the plot, but seems to be trying to rectify his nieve appointments. I look at the summer break with both interest and trepidation as the club I first visited on Boxing Day 1959 looks to salvage our battered confidence. Only time will tell. In Saints I trust and believe. |
 | News Comment | Southampton At Newcastle United The Preview at 12:37:05
I don’t see how Jack Stephens can be considered with better players available. It really is time he was loaned out or sold. We cannot afford to put up with his mistakes, poor passing and at times reckless tackles in silly areas of the pitch. He has served us well, but RM must recognise he is at times a liability. |
 | News Comment | Charly Alcaraz Says He Wants To Be At Southampton at 15:09:36
The earlier comment of alternating with Lallana is not the best solution. Charley is a far better player and alongside Ings or another top striker must be the solution. Playing him alongside Che is a part of his loan to Juventus. He needs someone who can hold a ball, make a pass to split the oppositions defence and allow him to score more often. Now is the time to settle him into the team and allow him to show the class act he is. Welcome back Charley |
 | News Comment | Southampton V Leeds United The Wembley Play Off Final Verdict at 10:32:04
So, who goes, who stays and who do we accept back from loans? I would certainly like Romain back, Lyanco must be on his way, possibly with Che Adams. Bella Kotcha is due back along with possibly Alcatraz. Charly has only played 347 minutes for Juventus, 13 appearances. We certainly need a new keeper, two midfielders and maybe two strikers. It looks like being another interesting summer at the shops. |
 | News Comment | Will Russell Martin Be The 7th Manager In A Row Hounded Out Of Southampton at 14:23:27
Until Mr Martin wakes up and realises that games are won in the oppositions penalty area and not at the back where we pass across and backwards, then there is little chance of him surviving. He has lost the fans, lost direction and sadly, lost four games in a row. ALL were winable. The verbal excuses he keeps giving are not acceptable to the fans. What has happened to the “Southampton Way”? We need a new manager who understands how to defend and win games. RM will not last until Christmas and the sooner he goes, the more chance we have of turning this current mess around. We sold the backbone of a team when Romeu, Lavia and Livramento were sold and replaced with less skilful players. Five thousand less fans at the last home game, could be another 5000 at our next home game if we lose again against Leeds. Anyone know where Aladdins lamp is, I want to make three wishes.. |
 | News Comment | Sunderland Striker In Saints Radar But There Is A Strange Twist at 12:46:26
This is getting more like Beano for rumours. The Daily Echo are even worse. None of the potential transfers are something that gets the taste buds working.with all this money we have collected, the fans deserve a more positive attitude from those who are looking for good players. A centre forward and two new centre-halves are essential. We got away with murder last Saturday due to over passing and desperately need to replenish the squad. Manning has been poor, Bree, Djnepo must be sold and whoever came up with the idea that Stephens was a captain of the first team? |

 | News Comment | Southampton Accept £60 Million Offer For Romeo Lavia at 16:00:23
We have been saying for two seasons now that we need two central defenders, a proper striker and now a complete overhaul of the midfield. We need a Oriel Romeu. If Lavia is going it means we have made about £120m so for once, SPEND some money on experienced players. We are talking about a Championship team, NOT the under 21's, PLEASE no more youngsters, get off your backside Martin and get on the same wavelength as 30,00+ supporters who are the life blood of this club. In all my 70 years as a Saints supporter, I have never given up on my hope that one day we will win something again, but unless Martin stops talking over the problems we see week after week, it will be a TAXI by the end of November. You have three weeks to get a team. |
 | News Comment | Southampton Name Price For Che Adams ! Bournemouth And Wolves Hover. at 15:51:58
Your time is up Che, we should have accepted the offer in January from Leeds. Just isn’t good enough to be in the frame of great Saints strikers… Ron Davies, Mick Channon, Ricky Lambert, Ted McDougall, Phil Boyer, Danny Wallace, Ings, Pella, Le Tiss, etc, etc…. Very or striking rate for us to be back in the Premier League. |
 | News Comment | Ibrahima Diallo Departs St Mary's at 11:20:18
Moi gone, Theo gone, Orsic gone, Lyanco going ( who I think could have been a good defensive midfielder), Diallo gone. All I want for Christmas is for McCarthy, Bree, Djnepo and Adams to go then the real rebuild can start. |
