Players who thought would be bang average but ended up being brilliant !!

Not a player, but the initial appointment of Ian Holloway didn't really get anyone excited, Lower league manager, not too much experience, club in debt and looking at relegation.
Probably one of, it not the most important decisions the club has even made.
Some could argue, there isn't a club without him.
The rest, I suppose is history.
