Actually, we need Coventry to lose tomorrow to keep them on 13 points, so with a win we go above them on 14 points and into 3rd place. However, that win would have to be by a better goal difference than Millwall's required win, as they play Coventry and, currently have the same points and GD as us. So, basically, we need to beat their win. Also, you forgot about West Brom which is understandable. They currently have the same points as us but a better GD by 3. So, whilst a draw or loss is preferable for us to cement our place in 3rd, if they do win (against lowly Norwich) then we would need to beat their result by a 3 goal difference or more because with a better win by 3 goals will mean we have the same goal difference as them, but we will have scored more goals, so will be above them, sitting pretty in 3rd. And the same actually applies, in principle, with our chances of finishing the day in 2nd. We'd just need to win with a +7 GD, at the very least, as that would take us to the same +5 GD as Sjoke, but we'll have scored more goals. Also, worth noting that if we were to win by scoring 7 goals we would also end the day as the Championships joint top goal scorers and with 8 or more we would be in first place for goals scored. Don't think us being highest scorers in the Championship is in the Glossary?! Apologies if a Spackman. |

One night in Paris, shirley?! Looking forward to tomorrow's game. I think lessons will have been learned from Saturday there will be a few changes made and we'll be up for it from the get go. Going for a comfortable 3-1 win. |

I started the day not overly bothered, thinking it would be over early and I could enjoy watching the highlights later in the day. So, I went to my local club, played football with my son, whilst following events on BBC text. An early 5 blue lead made me realise the prudence of my decision and then the updates kept coming thick and red! Still went to the gym only slightly concerned, but half an hour later had to say to my son, right, let's go, it's going off. So, glad I made it back home in time to watch an incredible sporting spectacle. Nobody can deny the amazing effort that the US put into the last day and the results they achieved and it's worthy of acknowledgement (not sure the U.S.A. fans would recognise this if we did the same) and what started out as a formality ended up being an edge of seat scenario. So pleased for Lowry after the 2nd most amount of stick taken this week and that thunder dance on the 18th will live long and be repeated for years to come. But to think if Henley had made his putt on the 18th... Sport at its best. |

Nice try, but whilst most might agree that that away kit is shite, it's not the reason we didn't play well. |

Mixed emotions, because I don't think he should have been brought on and even less so, made to play in that deeper role, however, as others have said, firstly, that's not his fault and secondly, he's making his way back from a long layoff and just because unicorns are known for their quick and very powerful healing abilities, just because that would not appear to be the case with Freydemort doesn't mean you should hold it against him. A good squad player, works hard, gives a shite and is a decent back up to KAB. |

Had it on in the background throughout the day and have just watched the BBC 90 minute highlights. Such intensity throughout the day and the fact we came out on top, again, was just a beauty to behold, and whilst nothing has been won yet you couldn't really have asked or expected a better scorecard for the start of play for the 3rd and final day. Aside from the utterly boorish, that spoil it for the few, it looks to have been a great atmosphere with European fans holding their own. Justin Rose is a legend, but how did he get to 45 years old so quickly?! |

I have to assume that that's 6th from bottom, so 19th?! I'm going to be a bit more positive and say 9th from bottom. |

Good result for us tonight with the draw between West Brom and Leicester. Means we can go above both with a win tomorrow. Plus with a Bristol vs Preston draw and the same between Coventry and Birmingham and assuming Millwall don't beat Swansea by 1 goal or more than we beat Sheff Wed, then we could finish the day in 2nd. That's right. Viva Le Hug! |
 | Forum Thread | Kone Burrel switch at 04:10 21 Sep 2025
My jaw's still on the floor with regard two the embarrassment of riches that we now have with regard to qualified and competent strikers, that we now have at the club. Not wanting to pick hairs, but I'm going to anyway, if Kone found himself in the chances/spaces that Burrell had today then we would have won more comfortably. I'm not sure of Kone's pace but he really should be the guy to lead from the front as he is quite clearly a better finisher than Burrell. And that's not to diss Burrell, but simply to recognise that over the last 3 (?) games if those chances had fallen to Kone instead of Burrell, we would have won by more. And yes, I realise we've won the last 3 games but my point stands and if you can't accept that then you don't understand football like what me and gazza do. |
 | Forum Thread | Morrison Goal Line Clearance Thread at 04:01 21 Sep 2025
That was a goal all the way until Morrison stuck his left boot out to stop that goal bound effort, which if he hadn't have done so would probably have resulted in us getting a, previous season, predictable draw. So a massive shout out to the guy for being in the right place in the right time and helping us keep the 3 points. May he continue to make good things happen... |
