Let's look at the cold hard facts with Vip. In the championship this season he's played 41 minutes (plus extra time) and scored 1 goal which = 1 goal for every 41 minutes played. On that form with 3,870 regular minutes left to play this season he could bang in 94-95 goals if he plays them all and we'll be a Premier League club next year! Still want another striker in though! |

Great article. Will keep an eye on FC Paris this year and see if he can keep up the form. Based on your report the jury is still out for me, could have been a one season wonder (Like Mcburnie for us). Glad Eze hasn't allowed rejection to stop his dream. He's worked hard and I'm m told has a fantastic attitude so his reliance and determination has paid off. |

He did great at Brighton, but not sure how much of that was the structure and support around him in the club because they certainly don't seem to have missed him since leaving. I haven't kept tabs in West Ham transfer business this summer, has he been backed and had a chance to bring his targets in? |

Being a local(ish) boy who's come through the academy we of course want him to do well but I just don't think he has the ability to play consistently at this level. He tries very hard, but the quality isn't there. I wouldn't want to lose him completely because he'd still be a useful squad member to come on and help close games out. But for me, he's (a) not good enough as a striker and (b) we have better options than him at AM. Because if his work rate he may be better suited to a CM role as Bellamy has used him for Wales but it'll take time to convert him to there and we have better options currently. |
 | Forum Reply | Ronald hits the winner but Galbraith is the engine room as the Swans beat the Bl at 20:14 16 Aug 2025
Galbraith was everywhere. He seemed to get better as the game went on too. Brilliant engine. Yalcouye looks a real handful too he'll find lots of space with his turn and pace. Eom has lovely control out in the left, but his end product is missing. He has no power in his shots so not likely to trouble defences unless he's running into the box. I think he's going to end up being nudged out of the starting XI in the next couple of matches. I desperately want Cullen to do well, but being a local boy who gives his all for the cause may not be enough, can never question his commitment but just don't think he's got the quality at this level, certainly not as a striker. Despite not really putting our foot down on the throats of Sheffield and taking full control of the game I thought we deserved to win the game. We were very lucky though not to give the late penalty away, I was in direct line with the incident and it looked like a clear push in the back to me. That be in g said... I am due an eye-test shortly!! |

Probably for another club if we sign Stamenic subject to the swans being able to move him on with his wages. |
 | Forum Reply | Marko Stamenic at 18:50 15 Aug 2025
To be fair. He's a bit overrated |
 | Forum Reply | Malick Yalcouye - Ivory Coast/Mali at 18:48 15 Aug 2025
Outside chance. Probably currently a decent striker short of really being able to push, but you never know. |
 | Forum Reply | Alexander Isak at 22:43 12 Aug 2025
It's clearly a dream move for him, but I have absolutely no sympathy. He signed a whopping contract that sets him up for life. If he thought he could earn better in a shorter period of time than his contract length then his agent should have insisted in having a minimum fee release clause attached. He's certainly biting the hand that feeds him and unfortunately the ones who will suffer the most are the fans. He'll get his move, although quite why Liverpool would want to sign a player who has 0 loyalty and will down tools as soon as a younger, better looking model walks past is beyond me. I hope Real, Barca or Paris come in for him in 2 years time (although I must stress I don't blame Liverpool in the slightest for this situation). Look at how Marc Guehi has handled transfer speculation over the last twelve months. He was subject to a massive and attractive bid from Newcastle last year, and rather than showing a complete lack of class he led his team to their first major trophy. He's still being touted for a big money move this summer but he's handling himself and the situation with humility and dignity. |

We have a box to box midfielder. Sadly yesterday he was left in the substitutes box until the 71st Minute. |

"Hard work starts now,"... Should have been working hard when pre-season started over a month ago even if he was without a club. No wonder he can't bang them in. With that attitude he can go to Hull and back. |

Without a shadow of a doubt stronger. A LOT stronger. Darling will be the big miss of course but genuinely think Burgess will prove to be an upgrade. For his consistency and ability to cover multiple positions it was a shame to see Naughton go, and Allen just because of my love for him, but the time was probably right for both as presumably they were on decent wages with not a huge amount of return on investment with regards to minutes on the pitch. Of course a lot of other teams will also be strengthening g over the summer so whether we are strong enough to compete for a top 6 remains to be seen but comparing this year's squad with last year's there's a clear improvement IMO |
 | Forum Reply | If it is a crisis up top. at 23:48 6 Aug 2025
Hardly a crisis. We've sold two players who were out on loan last season so no worse off. We've brought Wales in so arguably in a better position than how we finished last year which was pretty strong under Sheehan. Yes we'd all like to see another exciting striker come in. But there's 3 weeks of the window left, and we haven't seen what VIP/Wales/Cullen can do this season yet. Maybe the expectations are low at present, but maybe we shouldn't judge until after a competitive ball is kicked. |

I think Tyson Fury would make an excellent Chairman. Imagine the fly on the wall documentary! |
 | Forum Reply | Kaelan Casey : A sensible option at 12:30 3 Aug 2025
Makes sense, but any young player is going to want to play so it's going to be a hard sell to get a player to just cover us for the first few games and then be demoted back to the bench, unless Sheehan decides to switch his tactics around a bit which will accommodate three at the back |

Can't say I'm one that's got a particular dislike towards Wrexham. They've done excellent over the past 4 years since the new owners have come in, and love them or loath them they've done an excellent job in putting Wrexham back on the map and putting some much needed positivity into North Wales. Don't get me wrong, I hope we stuff them and do the double on them being our only Welsh Derby this year, but otherwise I'm indifferent towards the rest of their results/success. I do think however they're going to have a year of consolidation as their progress will severely slow down and they'll struggle for consistency in the Championship. They'll do enough to avoid the drop, but I certainly don't think they'll set the league on fire. |

Thanks for the messages all. Pleased to announce I'm in a much better place than I was just two weeks ago. Some great people have taken the time and reached out and shared personal experienced which wasn't expected but has given me a lot of food for thought. I'mm very fortunate have some very close and supportive friends (who aren't jack's sadly) away from here, but the last couple of weeks have shown how the indy community can be just as supportive. Thank you all. [Post edited 24 Jul 7:14]
