I think the truth is that most players who are kept in the youth teams after they're 19 are simply not good enough.
In the case of Wilson, as I've suggested above, it's down to his physical development and improving tactically.
I can't profess to have seen a huge amount of him, but probably 8 full games. |

Sheehan's job security doesn't rely on a 20 year old who's not pulled up trees in the lower leagues being included on the bench for the 1sts imo.
He has potential, but he also has a long way to go physically and tactically. |
